I'm not sure if this is in the right forum but I couldn't see how it would fit in the others. Maybe New Mombasa. Oh well.

If you haven't read THE FLOOD please do not vote or make stupid comments.

In the flood Silva said that if they got Jenkins back to a real hospital or somewhere with proper medical equipment that they could save him. At first it seems like he is saying this just to comfort the marine but maybe not. They would probably have to flash clone and replace many of his internal organs. The question is after they killed the infection form could they keep him alive long enough to do so?

I havent read the flood either so, if Jenkins ran out the building before the flood took it over he could have joined up with the marines at the entrance

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

They'd end up doing the same thing they would do the Johnson. They would kill him just to find out what makes the Flood tick, and maybe (Ackerson possibility) turn it into a weapon against the Covenant. ONI would be willing to do almost anything to win this war, even if it means a few people are expendable.

That reminds me of what the human government wanted to do with the Aliens in Alien and Aliens

Just a bit of advice- if parasitic aliens ever attack Earth, don’t try to manipulate them into serving us. I've seeen way too many Sci-Fi movies where that happens.

The government's going to see the pay off, not the risks.

Ya. We might control them for a little while but when we trust them and they live and protect every one of us and are all over they'll take over. Its a typical storyline

You talk if it is really going to happen. ;-)

But anyhow, you are right.

Medical science in 2552 will probably be advanced enough to remove that kind of parasite. I don't get why they don't just upload human minds into computers... Or why the UNSC doesn't use robotic soldiers. Those would tear apart _any_ Covenant. I'd like to see a Brute try to go one-on-one with a two ton mechanical spider tank.

Money would be a big issue.

Money is not an issue when extinction is an issue.

In order to save him they'd have to flash clone him a whole new body, and then do a brain transplant. I don't think that even they have the technology to do that yet, since when they did it to the SPARTANS the clones died.
