I've noticed thier are more and more spam attacks each few weeks, because of the lack of moderators. Not that i'm saying the mods don't have a life and should stay on B-net for eternity, it just that we need more mods, really, oh say, about 3-5 more mods.

Inactive Mods:

Maka
Chris
keynose

and a bunch of others.

The only inactive mod is Sigma (for the time being at least). Maka and Chris are some of the more active mods. And keynose is the Halo PC testing lead, it is not his job to moderate (although he has the capability to).

Ultimately, more mods won't solve any of the problems. They might increase the efficiency with which issues are dealt with but idiots will still exist in mass quantities. In time Bungie may select more Ninjas, but it's unlikely that 3-5 will be appointed at once.

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

Spam attacks are just children who have to much free time on there hands. And the Moderators are fairly active as well as Achronos, just because you don’t see us doesn’t mean we’re not working. So Moderators only have enough time to work during the morning or afternoon hours, but if you get on the forums in the evening odds are you won’t see the work that has been done. Please don’t make brash accusations.

The mods do an excellent job. I don't know if you saw the Spam attack in mombasa yesterday. I saw it happen as it happened. I reported it. It was taken care of immediately

Usually when I risk it and actually enter Zanzibar there’s always locked and moved threads with some blacklistings so I think there isn't a need for any new mods at the minute. Is sigma still alive should somebody give him a ring?

Moderators are pretty good at spotting most offending threads, but dead-spots in their collective hourly coverage can lead to cases of forum rampancy. Strategically I'd have thought they'd like a couple of Eastern-Europeans / Western Asians on the team, though of course a member's region doesn't feature in their selection process.

I honestly reckon the selectively granted "alert mod" button I've mentioned in a few threads here will enable the current moderator numbers to serve a community of twice the current size.

Yea an alert button would be a good idea but it could be abused.

Well, I do agree that when Ninjas become inactive, they become inactive.

Now, how long does it take for an account to be deleted from Bungie.net automatically?

I don't remember, but he probably logs in every couple months to avoid it from happening . . .

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

It's 120 days without logging in. Which is a long time to continue not logging in, so I doubt he will be deleted unless he is purposefully trying to lose his moderator status, and give up on Bungie.Net completely.

Post starter, why do you think that they're called Ninjas?

1. Ninjas flip out and kill people all the time
...and...
2. Ninjas can take care of people without anyone even knowing just like a forum moderator. They need not make a single post.

But yes...they do have to log in.
