How much did it cost Bungie/Microsoft to make Halo 2? In the update about Frankie going to Europe he said he had 200 million worth of software...But does any one know the exact numbers?

i think that 200million might be how much it would cost a consumer not how much it costed MS...

That's right, folks! Halo 2 for XBox, available to you for only $200,000,000.00!

Two hundred mil is most likely the amount spent on Halo 2's production. Sounds like a reasonable amount for a project as big as Halo 2.

Well, they've got how many people working on Halo 2? 30-40? Multiply that by whatever salary they're paid, times three or four years that it's been in the making. Then add on all the equipment costs, software costs (software liscences are a hell of a lot of money) and then power costs, coffee costs, etc and you've probably got a very very large number.

Or maybe it was just Frankie saying Halo 2 was really really valuable?

The other thing is that maybe he is sipmly referring to how much they would lose if someone else stole the game and sold it... maybe they are planning on making 200,000,000 in the first week or somthing.... wow... i wish i could make that much of a video game...

Two hundred mil in the first week? Maybe, if they sell 4 million copies in the first week; at 50 or so dollars a copy.
