but those enhancements are ertificial and were implemented through surgery, that qualifies him as a cyborg

As long as you got mechical, electrical, and organic parts you are a cyborg. The real thing that makes you man or machine is you brain. If you gots a CPU like robo-cop you are more machine than man. If your MC with a cool suit and a decidedly human brain, then your more human.

Don't make me defend my robo-cop claim.

well masterchief has taken of his armor so he is more human
if he were a cyborg i would be skin

MC is genetically modified
robo cop only had a spinal cord and his brain and some facial tissue

He's a Human-Cyborg. Nuff Said.

He is definelity a human,a cyborg is HALF machine and HALF human,he has just a few implant's,so that dosen't count dude!

He is definately a human. A cyborg has metal body parts, like robo cop. The only thing metal in him is his nueral implant, and every UNSC marine has them. So if youre saying that he is a cyborg just because of his implant, then youre saying EVERY marine is also a cyborg.

He has no more then an average human, but the stuff he does have is just ten times better. Example: Better reflexes, eyesight etc. he may have a neural implant but so do all the marines, if he is a cyborg then so are all the marines.

The ODST hate hiim because they want to be the best but they know that he could kick all their asses no problem, even without his armour.

His armour is attached to him surgically in some parts.

Actually, no it isn't. If it was he wouldn't be able to take it off, well, yeah. I suppose if it was just something inconspicius...though.... He can wear a dress uniform, and plain old Fatigues (it talked about this in The Flood).

Human. And yes it's getting extremely redundant, but please read the books. He has some genetic tampering, and an implant, does that make him a cyborg, doubtful. He wears a big a$$ed suit of armor... i'm done, really don't know what to say...

It's bungie's decision if he is or isn't a cyborg and in the manual and the books it says cyborg.

there is NOTHING to debate here in the books they refer to him as a cyborg more than once. in the halo manual it refers to him as a cyborg. and the chief has some kind of metal (i forget what) grafted to all his bones. his armor DOES attach to his head, and i dont just mean putting on his helmet. How would cortana be inside his head (in the books) when the chip that cortana is on is inserted into his helmet. this means that John in in some way or another "plugged in" to his armor. in the books it also says how it took a team of 15 doctors and engineers to completely assemble his armor.
