Why can't we just have our own custom theme built into our group? Instead of having to submit a them and have it accpepted (which doesn't happen too often)? Doesn't it make sense?

Yeah, it makes perfect sense to allow people to upload whatever they want (image-wise) onto the site. Think of the "Charizards" making -blam!- themes. It's just not at all practical and would have an effect on the performance of the website.

It's the same reason we have no custom avatars or emblems.

Good point, but maybe they could have a thread where the images are uploaded, someone take a quick look at them, and accepts them for use. Unles for some reason they were innaproprite or something like that.

Again, this was addressed with the avatar and signature image issues. There is no way anybody could moderate the sheer quantity of images and such that would be uploaded.

Also, it is safe to assume that the majority of it would be innapropriate. You would have to find someone who is not bothered by that at all, but woul still reject them. Not easy to find.

Josher's right, some of the groups would simply be -blam!- sites.
