In this vid, right at the end, it shows a plasma grenade being thrown. To me, the grenade seems to have 2 explosions. Could somebody answer if this is true?

A grenade may have been near the explosion and that would have set it off. Downloading vid now to see if I am right.

Nope, just one.

But, it comes from the same spot, and there are two different types of explosions.

he threw the nade at some fusion cores... the cores are explosive, the second explosion was a core going off due to the nade

But it looked "plasma-y." What I mean is that the first, normal explosion went off, and then there was a delay, and the electric/plasma looking explosion occured...

In case you don't know Fusion technology utilizes plasma.

But in reality it's not as simple as most sci-fi games boil it down to.

This is an example of the only way to die on easy. Grenade sets off other grenade.

Behold the power of the Originals, the Gods Axeone-Neurone.

There is only one explosion the other is just the plasma grenade glowing on the ground.

Just watched it again, it looks like a fusion core exploding. BUT, in the Zanzibar vid when it shows the fly-through of the level, it shows one blowing up, and it looks nothing like that.

Actually if you watch he throws the grenade PAST the fusion cores and none of them appear to be in caught in the explosion. Also if you look here it shows a Jackal going up in the same explosion, so unless fusion cores are also in SP (which they may be) it appears the plasma grenade has a new explosion animation, where it kind of charges up (what we thought was the primary explosion) before exploding!
Just my speculation.

I think your speculation is very damn near accurate. But, that means the grenade takes longer to explode! It already has a long fuse. THAT SUCKS!

Also the cores explode in a more "human way" which is shown in the Zanzibar demo at 7:34 seconds.
