I was playing on Boneyard and noticed the awesome environment in the background. The environment artists really did an amazing job for this game and it's sad to know that things like this go unnoticed sometimes. So I decided to make a panoramic picture of it.

Nice I like the screenshot, I love how Bungie put Covenant ships behind the clouds.

What sort of editing software did you use? There's a lot of artifacts and color weirdness.

They're in mine as well (http://otakurevolution.com/content/halo-reach-panoramas) but aren't as prevalent. Part of it's the nature of the graphics & screen shot process though. I'm hoping the final release of the game dumps out some with bombshell quality I could run through again.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

I got myself a new desktop background.

I love it.

I used Photoshop for these. The problem was that I had to take pictures from both sides of the ship instead of just pivoting around one point in order to get all the background in, which led to this. The pictures from the left side of the ship ended up being much lighter than the ones on the right. I did my best to bring them together.

I'm surprised there was so much of a difference. Try passing them through PTgui. It has a feature which tries to correct exposure issues.

Though, if you went off the edge and pretty far down, you should've been able to get all of the background with just the tip of the ship. (Always loved the ships from Halo, RIP Commonwealth)

I was working on taking a zoomed in shot of the mountain but decided to wait till the final release. I imagine the graphics will be a lot better than the beta and the screen shots a better quality.

I also spent forever trying to get a good shot of lightning in my pic. Of all the bursts I saw I wasn't able to get the perfect one. :(
