Rainbow Six 3 is good, don't get me wrong, I've played literally hundreds of hours on Live, however it is not even in the same stratosphere as Halo or Halo's sequel will be. It may have more weapons, but the controls, the maps and the general "twitch-based action" feeling of Halo beats it out. RS3 is more of the patient FPS, involving stealth and calm. Halo is a frag-fest with strategy and teamwork intermingled. They're two different games, and within the first week of Halo 2 the most played game on Live will be that game.
As far as Killzone, it looks interesting but it's a little late for a "Halo Killer." Just like Xbox and Gamecube were late when it came to this generation's consoles, Killzone is late when it comes to sci-fi, space shooters like Halo. Let Sony fan's eat their scraps, I'll take the real deal.
