well, we played one game, 8 on 8 bg ctf with close range weapons only, and with all vehicles. we knew that the ghost were the vehicles that owned, so we immediatly took them out of the map. they then attacked our base(we were blue) immediatly, we repulsed that assualt. theny managed to put both tanks behind red base, in the cliff, and used them as artillery to shell our guys runnin to their base. they rarely attacked our base after that, though, as we kept attacking and they had no opportunity to strike back. whenever we'd attack their base, there was always at least one guy camping by their teleporter with a shotgun, at the most we had three guys holding their teleporter, and we had two guys at least tryin to take out the tanks in the cliff, and the remainder of the team was goin for the flag.

i usually play without a radar, so anyways
first i have someone hide in the enemy base.. INSIDE
then i get a warthog...
then i time it right so that i just drive to the back and the other dude is just getting out of the base with the flag.... he gets on

its better if you have two warthogs(one could circle the base) and then you both leave at the same time... they might shoot the wrong one.

The game:
CTF, BG, Hogs only, no radar, flag must be at home to score.

I like to sneak into the enemies base and have a team mate drive full speed in a hog towards the back of their base. I grab the flag and jump out the back into either the gunner or passenger seat of the hog. We never have to slow down.

There is nothing like camping behind someone's teleport with a shotgun...

I almost always go for the flag every blasted time I respawn. I'll grab a teammate and drive down there. When I get out, he gets out of the warthog as well, and just uses the pistol to kill/distract as many people as possible. Then I get in the hog and leave, without the teammate. It works almost flawlessly on XBC. At least, when me and my friend do it.

i a sniper so i am almost all the time playing defence. since me and my freindslike to play in BG i always find a good sniper spot to defened the base, but also be able to see the other base. on any coordiated attack on the enemys base one of my friends will go in with camo and another will storm with a shotgun to serve as a decoy. i start geting a hole ton of head shots so our decoy can stay alive longer. once the flag carrieris away in the vehicle or though the transporter i cover him and take out any sniper that might have respawned, and blow his brians out the back of his head. and then we score and do it again.

(bloodgulch for red team) get a sniper rifle, load up on pistol bullets, btw, if u arent too good wth pistol u better learn, then get to the very right of the map. and run on the wall. around the teleport is safe because its dark and hard to see u because the dark color of ur armor blends in somewhat. dont shoot people unless they shoot u. if a warthog comes after u, throw a FRAG grenade right under u and run ... usually they drive right into it. run to the upper level. not the side that brings u close to the middle, there is usually people hiding right on that bump, it provide good cover and i dont blame them. this part might be confusing, because it is somewhat hard to explain. once u are up in the cave/cliff thign above, thats close to the blue base when it appears no one is there run to the little ditch thats on the side. it isnt too far away from where u r and if u run along the wall u should find it. turn on ur flash light it might help out some. snipe who u need to. then move. continue along the wall. if they find u and they have a sniper rifle, it is usually best to bring out your pistol because if u hit them it makes them zoom out. and dont be shooting at feet either. hit head or body. if no one is on top of the base,. look through the hole and throw a few nades in the corners. but DO NOT just stand in the same spot. u would be dead in a second. run around the little hole throwing them. once your out. jump down and run out the back. find the nearest vehicle. once u got it, dont go over too many hills because u can roll.dont go close to their teleport, bad idea. they pop out throw one grenade ur toast. then make ur way back to base.

(blood gulch blue team.)

pretty much the same thing as red, but instead of them (going past your own teleporter) your going to go past theirs. run along the wall of the left side and up the cliff type thing, with sniper rifle and pistol. go through the cave with the over shield in it and take the over sheild. peek out the other siide of it with the rock by it. look up at that very high point behind the red base. look for snipers there. kill them fi they are there. then look up on the cliff that is somewhat near the blue teleport. usually snipers are up there. then advance along the wall. then go up and check for people inside toss some nades and get the flag. once u get it, find vehicle and go by your teleport not theirs. then score

I'm all for that "hide in the opposing team's base" kinda idea. I love sitting there and watching them file out, knowing that i could have totally reaped the benefits for an easy kill, but i hold back.... ever patient... waiting for my team to have at least one more person making a distraction. That or i wait for them to leave, grab it, and go. That works extremely well on a 3v3 CTF, which happens often for some of my lan's..
