Subject: Halo 2 or Halo Reach?

After playing a good amount of hours of the halo reach beta I have come to the conclusion that I still like the the Halo 2 multiplayer more. Though the beta is very fun, when i think back to the times of halo 2 nothing compares. What do you think?

RIP Halo 2: November 9, 2004-May 10, 2010
I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

Reach got repetitive really fast, and already isn't as fun. Halo 2 will always have better gameplay, unless Bungie does something amazing between now and the release of Reach.

Yeah, Hitboxing = fail. For example, a certan user from the maw who has never played Halo 2 Xbox online links to this halo 2 bash video (its much less exreme in acutial gameplay) which shows hitboxing, but it also exists in halo 3, which also has unbalanced weps and n00b armor (recon).

Like removing armor abilities. I really hope they can be turned off in custom game settings.

Yeah, the beta is fun though thought its nothing compared to H2. I've definately had more fun/memorable/crazy moments on halo 2 then any other of the series and its likely to remain that way.

Well the SWAT of Reach = The SWAT of Halo 2. That aside, every Halo game after Halo 2 has been too focused on competition, probably due to MLG making a big thing out of playing video games.

My philosophy is just shoot. If their on your team, make it up to them later.

I must say, the beta seems great to me but Halo 2? There is no comparrison. Halo 2 wins. However, if they maybe remake a few Halo 2 maps (Coagulation, Headlong, Waterworks, Terminal) then maybe Reach will stand a higher chance. Also, in reply to whoever it was that asked if armor abilities could be removed in custom games: I know I played a gametype (can't think of the name) were no one had armor abilities. I'm pretty sure you can turn them off in custom games.

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

Reach has its many problems, but it ain't as good as halo 2 was. I prefer halo 2 to reach.

Did you still have to pick a loadout or did you just start up with a weapon like in the earlier games?
