In the Halo novels the Master Chief seems to have night vision, so is there any possibility that it will be an upgrade to his armor in the game? If it were, I can imagine that you would activate it by tapping the up or down on the D-Pad. Same idea about thermal vision, but with the opposite of night vision on the D-Pad, since it sems left and right will be the lean controls. Is there any chance of this being included in the game?

this isnt splinter cell :P

i think that night vision and thermal vision would only be necessary for sniping, but not so much the thermal part, halo isnt so much about being stealthy unless you wanna bash through each level without waking grunts up :p hehe, for anything else i think you can just use the flashlight

There was night vision in halo, you just needed the sniper to use it.

Well, he has it in the novels, and it was said that he could shoot out lights and stuff like that so he could sneak around. And last time I checked, you didn't have to be Sam Fisher to have night vision, or thermal vision.

Edit: *sees above post* Yeah, that too, Halo came out way before SC, and it had night vision anyway, you just had to use the sniper rifle on zoom, so why could the MC have it in his armor this time around?

Due to the augmentations that the Spartans recieved, MC should have no need for night vision. He should have it natually, at all times. I recall no point in Halo:CE where he should have actually needed a flashlight.

On the other hand, If things get too bright, his visor should automatically polarize. The only time he should need a flashlight is in a zero-light enviroment.

A little OT: Anyone else find it odd that Mjolnir could only power a flashlight for a few minutes at a time, but it could power a dynamic energy-shield indefinitely?

Yeah, you'd think that the fusion cell could power a flashlight for, say eternity. Or be able to blind people and go through walls.

well, you'd think the power cell's energy was saved for the shield and whatever else it powered, not just a friggin flashlight!

Night Vision the way it was, stuff the therma, unless its done right, which is not copy splinter cell, something brand new, and still looks good!
