what the...where did that nade come from?

XBC:[HJ]menikmati

recently i reinstalled h1pc and everything was running normal. I play with everything on highest settings and res, with perfect fps. I also play with novsync on as with it on i get the best fps, and also my mouse feels the most responsive this way. everything worked fine for like a week. then randomly one day i start up hpc, and my computer starts making a high pitched noise at the main menu. as i navigate through the menus the pitch of the noise goes higher or lower depending on the menu(weird i know). i started to mess around with the settings and realized when i turned vsync on it stopped. but when i turned novsync back on it started again. Ive always played with novsync and never had a problem. I started to wonder what that noise was and i realized that it was my GPU fan spinning at like 100% speed. I checked my control center for my gfx card for confirmation. Does anyone know what might be causing this? i dont know why it randomly started doing this. Ive tried getting the lastest drivers for my card but it still does it.

IM running windows 7 64bit, amd phenom II quad @3.2, Radeon HD 5770, 4 GB of RAM.

this only happens on halo pc, i dont have any issues with bad company 2, mw2, tf2, any valve game nothing just halopc, and it JUST started to happen randomly.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Do you have an older game like HL1 you could try without vsync as well?

So weird, I thought maybe something was happening when FPS was uncapped. Guess not. It turns out Halo PC is specially formulated to reduce your gaming computer to a steaming puddle of molten plastic and lead.

Sounds like you could still play with vsync. If your mouse lags, try 30 FFS which also attempts to enable vsync. Other than that, I have no idea what could be done.

with vsync, and 30 fps, my mouse feels laggy, and not responsive. its really annoying.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Reinstall the Catalyst drivers, or maybe delete any profiles you have in CCC.

Try and mess around with command lines.
