I think it's a more interactive user experience expansion of Bungie.net

But that's me.

To someone up there, in latin I don't believe astra is stars, but it is the movement of the heavens. Stars is something else (studying Vergil for GCSEs, it's in there).
I put all my faith in what I read on the internet, specifically Wikipedia. We all know the internet is always correct.

It would make sense, but why "Aerospace"?

HALO 2 FOREVER - M.I.A.

Yes i have a Twitter and yes i voice my opinion.

I know what a GROGNOK is.

Its Urk's ugly pet. :p

Or if it is any idea of what bungie likes doing its an alien that stosh brought back to earth now that he is choosing good images for the updates.

Srsly i and the rest of the hard core dedicated gamers of bungie.net need to know at least a hint as to what this all means. Even if its a small part of a podcast or something cause this idea of bungie aerospace is getting to the point of too many rumors running around.

Hard is good.

@dmbfan09

I was trying to justify to myself that I could do revision while under the Bungie.net spell.

Interesting, synonyms are annoying, "stellis" is what Vergil uses in Book VI of the Aeneid, interestingly enough ad astra comes from Book IX of the Aeneid, also written by Vergil.

Still, space game ;)

Orbital Space Station anyone?

I have absolutely no idea what it is, but I hope it has to do with the new IP and maybe an ARG.
Would be cool.

Perhaps it has something to do with Moonshot Games. Moonshot, Aerospace, it's fairly similar.

Good find. I wonder if anything will happen around E3.

HALO 2 FOREVER - M.I.A.

Yes i have a Twitter and yes i voice my opinion.

Here is something to add to the op.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

Closest to that is the following LATIN translation.

Per Ardua Ad Astra (Through hard work to the stars)

My theory with that closely related wording is this.

BY Daring Deeds To The Stars

Im thinking its a hint to the hard work done will help you reach the stars and that could possibly mean more space type games that happen in the future or something of that effect and or it could be a more futuristic feel by still going into the past cause with what bungie can do with the halo games they could in fact keep adding to the lore by starting the story of the forunners.

  • 05.17.2010 2:32 PM PDT

Very interesting. I'm betting this will have some sort of tie with Bungie's new IP.

I believe it's because the site will be using either Flash or Silverlight to interact with, and there's a lot of possibilities of doing things when using those programs for websites.

When I think of "Aerospace" I think of "New, exciting, sailing to the stars, revolutionary," so I feel this website will be similar in that regard because they are branching out from this website to a more interactive environment.

Interesting point, if it was a new Bungie project, surely it would be another project page rather than a whole new website? Maybe the new website is just a new website, BUT, does that mean that bungie.net will be transferred or abandoned? :(

Known by some, but not by all.
Soffish: Do not eat!
TWP Assistant Director.

I am guessing that this has something to do with the next project. It seems like since Bungie has sort of said they are working on something secret, more info in trickling out little by little.

Maybe it's a Halo Waypoint-like network...?

The name aerospace is just so mysterious.

Maybe I will never be
All the things that I wanna be
But now is not the time to cry
Now's the time to find out why
I think you're the same as me
We see things they'll never see
You and I are gonna live forever

Really nice find.
This is really close to Grognok, but its Grognak...

Convincing argument.

I really want it to be an ARG. It seems more likely to be related to their new IP or something of that nature.

Can't wait to see how this plays out.

"Aerospace" dosen't exactly sound like the name of a computer program like Flash or Silverlight to me. That's not what I was thinking of when I saw this, actually. I was maybe thinking of a game engine?

I guess my guess is as good as yours.
