I think it's a more interactive user experience expansion of Bungie.net

But that's me.

It would make sense, but why "Aerospace"?
I believe it's because the site will be using either Flash or Silverlight to interact with, and there's a lot of possibilities of doing things when using those programs for websites.

When I think of "Aerospace" I think of "New, exciting, sailing to the stars, revolutionary," so I feel this website will be similar in that regard because they are branching out from this website to a more interactive environment.

The source has a Java Script reference so idk

Not sure if it means anything...But...Stats page

That seems to crush the possibility of it being an ARG, however large that was.

That's just stuff for Google Analytics, pay it no mind.

What are we supposed to be discussing here?

"Nothing in the 'Verse can stop me."

So, I must have missed something. I have no idea what this is all about.

I think it's an independent branch of bungie.

I like that theory, and maybe Bungie Aerospace is a rebranding(/integration?) of Moonshot games? Those guys have been pretty quiet...

I think Moonshot isn't a subsidiary of Bungie. They are just a bunch of Bungie employees who left to start their own company.

How to spell "space"?

S-P-ACE! SPACE!

Bungie Aerospace?

Bungie flight sim?

After I thought about it, I don't think the stats page is a video game stats page. If you go to www.bungieaerospace.com/stats, you are hit with a login page that is for "bungieaerospace.com Statistics". I think it's more for the webteam to view statistics on who visits the site, not for game stats.

  • 05.25.2010 5:25 PM PDT

Damn, I want them to develop that site!

The stats page looks like something administrative, but that doesn't mean it can't relate to game statistics. At this point, all of the pages are probably locked to outside viewers.

You're all wrong, this is obviously Step 7.

I think you're right.
If I remember well, there was a news item where they said that step 7 is almost complete, but that's not that kind of catapult like we're thinking..... or something like that.

I think that it has definitly nothing to do with the Bungie we know right now, the Bungie that creates games. Why would they else make a new website for it ?

"Aerospace" must be part of Bungie's plan to dominate the world. Hm... are they going to create the giant slingshot in space?

I think Aerospace is what they will ultimately rename Activision, when they take them over.

The Wasteland Operation is an off-topic group where you can just relax. Ever wanted to discuss something in the Bnet forums, but were afraid you’d get flamed and insulted? Here you can talk about anything, in the comfort of our friendly online community. TWO has contests, custom game nights, forum games, and much more! Our dedicated staff can’t wait to have you here! Do you want to join our group?

I see this as a sign of ether two things. One: Bungie is making a flight sim game, or two: the slingshot is ready.

You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones

I've noticed a few new things, or new to me at least. In the last week, maybe two, the site started linking back to b.net. Also, there appears to be a new "stain" in the center across the top of the page. I do not remember that being there yesterday.

Or it could be that they've always done that and I missed the information in the thread.

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

Nice job finding that.

The logo is a straight up and down play button. Home for all Bungie media maybe?

  • 05.28.2010 10:21 PM PDT

That looks sweet. Nice find.

By looking at your picture, I noticed that the oni symbol and the Aerospace symbol almost look the same.

Metioning Activision I've got a new idea: aerospace=the slingshot, but in another form. Bungie is maybe going to create game consoles, or game engines, ... anyway hardware, and Activision will create the games. Or not ?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

Because I was born to lose.

My immediate thought was because Bungie is breaking up with Microsoft, that would be there new Website but then it accord to me that this is Bungie's website not Microsoft's.

I may be completely wrong about every thing I just said i have no evidence behind it, just sharing my initial thought process.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

This is very startling what will happen to bungie.net if they make a new website?

Bungie has already split from Microsoft.
