halo2 vista completely lived up to my expectations when i first bought it partially because i had been playing halo ce for so long i never thought graphics could look as good as halo 2's (this was before i knew much about other games) but gradually i began to realize how much corner cutting hired gun did such as, no compiler/decompiler no support no servers appearing for a long time no optimization for other os (even though i have vista) but all things considered there are really fun game types out there, most of the halo ce maps have been remade in some way or another (custom or remakes) and most of the fun weapons from halo 3 are already in the game the campaign although difficult in some areas is a thrill ride with those fun skulls and such

but if i could choose which game to be remade with better graphics, cutscenes ect i would definitely choose halo ce because in the campaign during parts like meeting the flood for the first time or finding out that captain keys had been turned into the flood or escaping the pillar of the autumn gave you chills and really brought you into the story which halo 2 never really was able to do

I agree. I for one liked the scenery and backgrounds in Halo CE. I have never, not even in todays games seen something so cool as you flying through that infinite desert to get to the Pillar of Autumn, or looking off a cliff and looking at the huge ocean climb up the ring.

perfectly reasonable standards considering Halo PC was a huge improvement over the xbox counterpart.

in fact, how is expecting to get the same game on a different platform too high of a standard? your "argument" is bad and you should feel bad.

He meant it was a low standard...

This is because different platforms have different advantages developers can utilize. Its pathetic that most games these days are developed all-around to suit the least common denominator; this is why consoles fail in the grand scheme of things. They hold PC games back because developers want to focus on the (typically more popular) console versions and instead of including mod support (and etc.) for the PC versions, they just port the code over directly because that would be more time-effective for them. PC games have so much potential but they are limited because of the downsides of consoles. Expecting direct PC ports is most definitely a low standard.

I took your post as saying "expecting a better game based on past ports is having too high of a standard"

Well now I'm just confused.
