This is because different platforms have different advantages developers can utilize. Its pathetic that most games these days are developed all-around to suit the least common denominator; this is why consoles fail in the grand scheme of things. They hold PC games back because developers want to focus on the (typically more popular) console versions and instead of including mod support (and etc.) for the PC versions, they just port the code over directly because that would be more time-effective for them. PC games have so much potential but they are limited because of the downsides of consoles. Expecting direct PC ports is most definitely a low standard.You Sir have very good standards.
