I really appreciate your help. However, what service should I upgrade to if my parents dont want satellite? I have cablevision. So...an HDTV ready TV, the extra component you linked me to, and an XBOX. I have a question about the component though...Where does that go from the TV? The XBOX? By the way, you have a Dolby Digital 5.1 system. Im assuming you cant take advantage of SC: Pandora Tomorrow's 7.1 features then? That Panasonic you linked me too is the one I really want too. Thank you so much. P.S. Im surprised Halo 2 will only support 480p. Are there any other games that support higher? I saw a flat plasma screen for Halo 2 that is priced at $9,999.99. Why would anyone buy that if Halo 2 only supports 480p?

I can't afford nice TVs and surround sound for my Xbox. Maybe I'll get them after I get out of university, in 6 years.

You are lucky. Are you still in school? If you are you've got nice parents, if you aren't you shouldn't have to save up for speakers.

Surround sound systems are only 150 bucks now, you can buy them yourself and not let your parents use them.

The cables are color-coded: You should have a red, a blue, and a green video cable tips and corresponding blue, green and red jacks on the TV (they might also say Y, Pb, and Pr). The two remaining cable tips are for your audio--they will be some variation of red and green. On my MONSTER brand cable the audio cables are the ones with white lettering on them and the video ones have yellow lettering. You get the gist. What kind of TV did you buy?

I might be getting a ''27 Panasonic HD ready TV with up to 1080p resolution and BBE surround sound. Only 599.99, and I'll get it for 425 because my friend works at Best Buy and will get me a 35% discount. ;) Thanks for your help.
