in the first one no one but you drove the warthog... I'd like to see covenant in human vehicles - Marines/ODSTs in covenant vehicles would be awesome as well... I know there were marines driving the warthogs in the E3 demo

I don't think the humans (apart from MC) know how to drive Cov vehicles and visa versa...

well Covenant absolutely refuse to touch human weaponry as stated in TFoR, so I would doubt any of the Covenant would be very keen on stepping into an 'unclean' vehicle.

I'm sure that they physically could, but it's against their religion.

Well the Marines in H1 used empty ghosts when they had the chance. Maybe we'll see Marines jacking everything they can...
From what I've read about the A.I./gameplay it sounds like Marines and covies alike will use vechs more often.

I'm talkin' xbox but they don't do it often usually only when you kill all the covenent without then they will get in one but they don't seem to last as long. It's that or an elite decided to fight for me.

If you had a closer watch in the E3 demo, you could see grunts driving in a ghost en get killed ofcourse, so why should they not drive in warthogs.
Okey you have there religion to think about, but at the urge of battle and when you are desprit for a vehicle im sure an elite would hop in a warthog.
But how would this effect multiplayer on xbox live: combat on halo.
Of course then you have control over vehicles but can you then use the vehicles of the enemy, could you steal a transportation vehicle from the enemy elite party's, that would be so cool!

the answer is (logically, anyway) NO. You, mastercheif, are the master of any weapon, the pilot of any vehicle. THAT is why you are able to pilot covenant vehicles & human vehicles. but...the cov and the soldiers have just been trained to pilot certain vehicles that THEIR species makes (or in the case of the cov, their alliance of species)

the only exception to that logic would be...that if after quite a while of battling the cov., humans learned about their vehicles and then tought their soldiers to pilot them (and vise versa).

There's a slim chance that humans will take over covie vehicles because they DID do it in halo (they climb into ghosts but not often) however the covenant will definitely NOT use human vehicles or weaponry because of their deep zealos beliefs.

NO! the covenant can drive vehicles, but there is no way that they would. they have their own vehicles, and our vehicles are unclean and satanic. and besides, if human vehicles stay indestructible, you know what the elites' will be saying to our warthogs? "your destruction is the will of the gods" hahahahahahha! LOL! anyway, the marines, i think, were supposed to be bad at driving ghosts in halo1 because they had no training with them, and would of course suck. but in halo2, they may have given the ODSTs training in covenant vehicles, so they may suck less, but its a fair bet the marines will suck at ghosts just as much. warthogs, though, they seemed pretty smart.
