You know how you can board vehicles on halo 2 wouldnt it be cool if instead of punching them out you could jump on the side, front,or back and shoot them while driving, but you would only be able to shoot with 1 gun since the other hand would be used for holding on to the vehicle? If you stay driving too long youll get killled when you die your body drops out and the enemy hops in and drives or you could put 1 hand on the wheel and shoot the person hanging on while driving or you could just smash them on a wall or rock and kill them that would be alot better than punching or kicking them out of vehicle and it would add more balance since it would allow the driver to defend himself more from the attacker. Another thing they should have 4 player online co op it would be really good and you still wouldnt have to worry about split screens messing you up and confusing you and besides brute force did it theres no reason not to put 4 player online co op. I also think they should keep the hud the same and not take away the health. In halo 2 i think they should add a flamethrower it would be really cool. Many people might not agree on this 1 but i think destructible vehicles should only be allowed in co op because what if in multiplayer you destroy all the vehicles then you'd have to add a vehicle respawn point which would just take you out of the action. It would work for co op more since the vehicles being destroyed would make that war feeling be more intense and realistic noing that you and team would have to walk because you guys got your vehicle destroyed and now you either have to steal an alien vehicle or if none around have to walk and walking far puts you and your marines in danger. Another idea is you should also use the same xbox live headset to be able to communicate with the marines in co op and tell them orders like "cover me" , "run",or "hide" all type of commands it would add a strategic aspect to the game hence making it more intense. Those are all the ideas i have for now if u disagree with me tell me .

Yeah indentations and paragraphs are a plus, I stopped reading after the first question. To answer that, in Multiplayer, boarding is just a simple X press and you kick or punch the guy out. In Campaign mode however, boarding is much more in depth and you can decide what you wanna do to the enemy, like shoot him, kick him out, or plant a nade on his face.

I really wanna have a boarding battle though, they sound like fun.

Seriously though, I started reading that but the lack of punctuation and paragraphs made me stop.
And about your idea of Boarding, I like some of it, but I dont think Boarding should be defensible, if your going slowly enough to get boarded its your own fault.... Actually if you think about it Boarding is defensible, just dont slow down near an enemy!

THIS IS A REVISED VERSION OF THE FIRST POST BY MortalChief456

You know how you can board vehicles on halo 2? Wouldn't it be cool if instead of punching them out you could jump on the side, front, or back and shoot them while driving; but you would only be able to shoot with one gun since the other hand would be used for holding on to the vehicle.

If you keep driving too long you'll get killled. When you die your body drops out and the enemy hops in and drives, or you could put one hand on the wheel and shoot the person hanging on while driving, or you could just smash them into a wall or rock and kill them. That would be alot better than punching or kicking them out of vehicle, and it would add more balance since it would allow the driver to defend himself more from the attacker.

Another thing they should have is 4 player online co-op. It would be really good, and you still wouldn't have to worry about split screens messing you up and confusing you. Brute Force did it. Theres no reason not to put 4 player online co-op. I also think they should keep the HUD the same and not take away the health. In Halo 2 i think they should add a flamethrower. It would be really cool.

Many people might not agree on this one, but I think destructible vehicles should only be allowed in co-op, because what if in multiplayer you destroy all the vehicles then you'd have to add a vehicle respawn point which would just take you out of the action. It would work for co-op more since the vehicles being destroyed would make that war feeling be more intense and realistic.

You and team would have to walk because you guys got your vehicle destroyed, and now you either have to steal an alien vehicle or if no one is around, you'd have to walk; and walking far puts you and your marines in danger. Another idea is you should also use the same xbox live headset to be able to communicate with the marines in co-op and tell them orders like "cover me", "run", "hide", all type of commands. It would add a strategic aspect to the game hence making it more intense. Those are all the ideas i have for now if you disagree with me tell me .

The Mt. Dew people weren't real fanatical Halo 2 fans like us. Besides that was just one game type and probably you can set options for vehicle respawn

I read all the way through your first post, but i only agree with your idea about being able to shoot whilst boarding. I may of agreed with some others but i cant remember them all.
I hope destroyed vehicles do respawn, obviously they dont right now, because mt dew guys said they dont. But if the vehicles dont respawn, it'll be bad on big levels like waterworks. All the vehicles would get destroyed in the first few minutes of attacking then everything else would be on foot. Maybe it only happens on single flag matches, or assault as i like to call it.

i think it will be a good thing. make you a little more protective of your vehicle.

I can see where you are coming from, being protectve and all that. But the average time for one my ctf link ups is 3 hours. You would have to be pretty damn protective to look after a vehicle for 3 hours, unless they heal over time or you can fix them something like that. And before any one has a go at me, no i dont think healing or fixing your vehicle would be a great idea.

I agree with Deko, I mean Waterworks looks HUGE! and you wont be able to keep your vehicle for a whole game, especially with lock on rockets

Dont get me wrong, i do like....even love the idea of destructable vehicles in halo , i have reasons but i wont go into them. Im just saying i think they should respawn, maybe put a timer on it, like

ghosts/atv's - 30 seconds
warthogs - 1 minute
tanks/ any other new vehicles, wraiths etc. - 1.30 minutes

In the videos that i have seen the ghosts seems to blow up quite easily, maybe even to easily, but i wont complain till the games out and ive tried it myself (Even though i know its too late). I imagine it would be quite hard to keep a ghost alive, as all its really good for is getting around quickly and fighting (Seeing as you cant ride a ghost whilst carrying the flag).

theres none? What? you mean theres no point of destructability if the vehicles respawn. Well then, whats the point of killing an enemy in your base, i mean hes only going to respawn and come back for the flag.

There is the point of them being destructable, one big example wpuld be the lack of protection, in Halo MP if you shot the Ghost nothing would happen, the driver would be fine and the Ghost would be unscathed, which was just horrible. The amount of times my opponent has used the Ghost like an impenetrable shield before killing me takes the piss!

Exactly what agent x said, i have always though it was stupid that the tank is supposed to be this mighty metal behemoth (Hope thats spelt right). but it could be killed quite easily by circling it and constantly shooting assault rifle, well ive exagerated a bit, to do wht i said you would need maybe 3 people. But if someone shoots a plasma pistol at the tank you would expect the driver of the tank to laugh, but instead his shield is wiped and he will die in a few seconds from pistol and assault fire.
But in halo 2 its going to be a different story, now you'll be forced to save that rocket launcher for fear of that rumble of engines as you approach the enemy base. And you will be cursing at the start of the match when all the vhicles are taken. Just as the enemy launches a mobile assault on your base, with banshees flying and tanks blowing stuff up. Warthogs circling each other trying to get a rocket in, whilst a lone scout from your team uses an atv to make a quick run on the enemies empty base.
