In the future, I would suggest looking through the forums for a topic, such as this, that's already been widely explained. Since you're new, I'll give you a break:)

The legendary ending of Halo was an egg... not part of the storyline. First Strike, which is only $6 dollars, explains the rest.

Welcome to the B.net community:)

You would be 100% wrong. Bungie wouldn't just let Nylund write whatever he wants. If Nylund hadn't gotten Bungie's approval, First Strike would never have been published.

It's an official part of the storyline. Accept it.

Uh, no? This guy took all the stuff from the "Halo Bible" in order to create a story, no way Bungie would let an author screw around with one of their most badass stories.

ok you guys... im not tryin to argue just let me try to explain this the best i can (it might not be explaind the way i think it tho). ok i know that he had to get approval to write that stuff but bungie has said ever since halo 2 was announced that it takes place immediatley after halo was destroyed. now i just think that bungie let him write it to give us a taste of whats going to be in halo 2 like the new pistols, the BR, the brutes and stuff like that. i think that it was just to kepp our halo 2 hunger satisfied until it comes out. and im sorry if you dont agree :-).

Alright, if you don't agree us, then listen to our reasoning for arguing against you. (Not that you're not listening:)

Bungie has a Halo Bible. The puprose of the Halo Bible is to map out the Halo universe. What I mean by this is, the storyline and the background of each and every character and event is written, or mapped out, in the Halo Bible. The Halo Bible wasn't written by Eric Nylund, but by those at Bungie and Eric Trauntmann.

The events in First Strike, and the other books, were written in the Halo Bible as events in the storyline of the Halo Universe BEFORE any of the books were written. All Nylund did was juice up the storyline with intense dialog so that the common A.D.D. kid would want to read it. Nylund added dialog to the storyline. He didn't make up events and characters to add to the stroyline.

P.S.
Don't take this as a "You're the new guy on the block!" comment. There are a surprising amount of people around here that don't get this:)

No they didnt. First Strike is part of the entire story. What happened in First Strike will have some sort of role in Halo 2.

Use of the 'N' word is in direct violation of the TOS, and is punishable by ninjafication. You better hope none of the Mod's see that.
