Loyal fan of every Halo game since day one! Thanks for all the great campaign runs, the many online hours spent playing Halo 2, Halo 3, and especially for all the great friends I made! Gaming done right by a great staff at Bungie studios!
I was wondering if you could help answer this for me. I use to play Halo 2 online all the time, and I mean all the time! I had such a great time, and as a matter of fact it was one of those great gaming moments that I have ever had. I heard that they were shutting down the xbox live for the old xbox, and halo 2 online would be no more on April 14th. Now I was sad, but I wanted to get a few last games in in honor of my favorite video game of all time. I put halo 2 into my 360 (on April 14th), and to my surprise it said that I could not log in because some files were "corrupted" and to please download the map packs again. I tried to then download the map map packs, but I couldn't log into do that because I kept getting the "corrupted" files message. I then tried my brothers xbox 360 (after I recovered my gamertag), and even my old original xbox, but to no prevail. I got the exact same messages. I really wanted to show my dedication by playing on the last day, and I just couldn't after all that work. It made me pretty sad, and I still get upset when I think about it. I now see that if I played a game of Halo 2 at anytime that I would receive a "piece of flair" for Halo Reach, but only if you played a game under your current gamertag. I would like to be rewarded for my dedication, but I never got a chance to do so because of the circumstances that I was faced with. I did however play many games of Halo2 under the gamertag Morphine Elite. If I change my gamertag back to Morphine Elite, will I be able to receive a "piece of flair" for my armor in Halo Reach? I am so sorry that this letter is so long, and I would really appreciate it if you could let me know who to talk to/message if you are not able to answer my question. Thanks so much for taking time to read this, and I hope that life is really good for you. Take care. Your friend, Jonas Schneider
