I really hope that the bungie team has thought through all of the gameplay aspects in halo 2.
I love the nw screenshots they're amazing. And Frankie oh man his updates are priceless. I'd love to meet that guy some day, he has ana amazing amount of witt. I just wanted to know if non player characters in halo 2 will also be able to wield two weapons at once, or will they be too dumb to know they have two hands too. Also will they be able to man turrets? i know they could before but now they're are human turrets and covenant turrets. Also in the last game the covenant never bothered to pick up a lost marines sniper rifle, or rocket launcher, i guess that tiny plasma pistol made them feel more James Bondish, then that honkin' one shot kill spnkr. anyways, hope to hear from you about it.

Some good thoughts. It would be scary though, since marines can drive ghosts, if you saw five gold elites coming at you in a scorpion tank, or three coming at you full tilt in a warthog with its laag gun blazing.

it would seem weird if the covenant used any weapons or vehicles humans created, since the covenant flat out hate humans. did you forget that they are trying to destroy us and everything we created??? mjolnirV realizes this too. in the fall of reach book, master chief says that it seems very odd that the covenant are heavily guarding a human museum on sigma octanus IV because they never have showed slight interest in our way of life. they say in the books the reason the covenant do not use any of our technology is because they hate us so much.

on another note, i think since master chief is able to wield 2 weapons at the same time, everyone else in the game should be able to too. doesnt seem fair for master chief with 2 guns to go at a grunt that only has 1

Good point, they would probably think our technology inferior. In Halo: FoR there was a covie ship a quarter the size of this UNSC destroyer, and the covenant ship went up against 60 archer missiles, 2 MAC blasts, and a nuke and it survived. That nuke would have vaporized anything that was human technology. They whoop our asses in spacefights, and have more advanced vehicle technology. They have an eqivalent to almost every human weapon and vehicle.

I guess my only defence would be that, maybe this is what is running through the covenants heads... remember this is just a thought "hey what would be the most insulting thing to do to those human bastards? I know, how about I whipe 'em out with their own technology." as he takes you out with a pistol, one of the lowliest human weapons there are. And once again, just because you loathe a race so much doesn't mean they wouldn't benefit from the technology of a tank or a rocket launcher. ANd dont forget i also mean the marine buddies. will they be able to use covenant weapons, or wield two weapons as well?

Pistol = lowliest human weapon? Pistols rule all. Id say the AR is worse.

yeah i figured i'd get flack for saying that. but in retrospect i mean the pistol is normally a sidearm. but in halo i always call it the anti-tank pistol. but yeah i see your point.

But I agree with you. That was what I was thinking......... why wouldnt they benefit? They think that their technology is better, but thats cause theyre all high-and-mighty about their opinion of themselves. Theyd have to come to their senses eventually. A scorpion for example is much more effecive than a mortar tank.

i see the point Sgt Tango is trying to make, i mean it would be pretty insulting to take out a marine or any other human with their own technology (gun)

so what do you guys think about marines playing a more active role, with alien weapons. using two weapons. maybe more marines using rocket launchers or manning, tanks. or maybe better A.I. wielding sniper rifles. in halo they normally would use the sniper the same as any other gun. like they would just fire off as many rounds as they could. you would never see them take the time to scope out the scenery for a well placed shot.

i really dont see the covenant using any of our technology even if it would benefit them

i would like to see marines and even covenant swich through different weapons when they are in different situations. i hate when the marines use that sniper for close up stuff. i just want to pimp-slap them on the back of the head so they wont do it anymore. i hope halo 2 is different

When you pick up Johnson the sniper on your tank in AotCR, he might have scoped out his targets, but you dont realize it because Bungie didnt create an animation for when characters use a zoom.

Its hard to say, but the covenant might actually be interested with our species, they just dont show it because they might think that its a sign of weakness or something.

By the way, do you ever notice the marine snipers (or any marine for that matter) running out of ammo? In the Halo 2 demo you notice them saying "im out" when theyre out of ammo.

they probably never will. you know why? because they didn't program the marines to be capable of switching guns. therefore they are stuck with what they start with...forever!!! hahaha. yo mjolnir, i dont want to be a pain in the butt, but please try to avoid the multiple posts in a row. like edit ur post into one big one. im sorry if that bugs you and feel free to ignore me, but its just some forum etiquette.

i tried that, but then other people make new ones and then its hard to see when someone edits a previous one

this is a little off topic but i wanted to make sure. i noticed after the credits in halo, that 343 guilty spark flies by, did he survive the destruction of halo or was that just something for the bungie logo that comes up after it?
