Trying to save even one survivor when you first meet the marines on 'Halo' (the level).

Truth and Reconciliation. The first room inside the ship is easier if you only use the Sniper Rifle on the Plasma Sword weilding Elites.

Maybe Keyes, right after you find the Captian. I always run to the doors right after the movie and have the flood and the covenant fight each other to death, while I clean up the remainng forces afterward. But fighting them all (Coveanat and The Flood) is a -blam!-.

~~Pardon Our Dust.~~

All of this I am about to say, is before when i first started playing, other than that, it's not hard anymore.

1: Pillar of Autumn is hard mostly just on the stair Part.
"Covenant on the landing Above us!" (Duh 1)

2: Halo is just really long and annoying after you've played it 20 times.
The hardest part is right after the first part. Where you have to defend yourself while about 6 dropships come.
The hog makes the rest of it easier.
"This cave is not a natural formation..(Duh 2).. It must lead somewhere."
(Duh 3)

3: Truth And Reconciliation is hard when you the Covies come down the gravity lift 5 times, and then when you get beamed up into the ship, you have to fight multiple yellow sword elites.

4: The Silent Cartographer has lots of jackals, which rip you to shreds on Degenglary. "They've locked the doors" (Duh 4)
("So THAT'S why it won't open!")

5: Assault on The Control Room is hard in multiple places.
which are, The multiple rooms filled with grunts, elites, jackals, such as the one right after you get off the Pelican and fight through the hallway. There are about 7 of those rooms. ALL OF THEM ARE or WERE HARD.

6: 343 Guilty Spark. One Word: Inffinnite masses of flooood.
(Slight scare factor at night in room all alone)

7: The Library. Same as above. Makes me mad.

8: Two Betrayals is hard and long, which makes it hardlonging to me.

9: Keyes has many hard parts, as said before... After you find Keyes floody form, you get pounced by carrier flood from cliffs, elites plasma hurts. The indoor of ship is hard all together. It's an all around hard level.
"...Please Chief Hurry" (Duh 5) (What? You think he's going to NOT hurry??)

10: The Maw. Hardest part is blowing up the vents without dying and sometimes people run out of time in tunnel.

My point is... It's all hard. Every level is the hardest level. Really.
If you ask me, the game Halo is challenging. Which makes it fun.

Keyes, at the very end, when you're deciding to kill all the spec-ops (black/white) elites before taking the banshee out of there. That part is HARD. You don't have to put yourself through the frustration, but It's great, incredible, when after hours of dying, you finally put the last one to shame (there must be at least 20 of em), and those four narsty uber grunts with the fuel rod guns, and hop in that banshee. Damn that feels good! Otherwise, the Library. It's pretty easy on co-op, but single player it gets hairy.

After a while none of the levels are that hard, (no kidding) but looking
back at my first run through on Legendary, I would say Truth & Rec.
I never tried going through the whole level on Keyes because the
shortcut is too much fun. I guess I'll have to try Keyes all the way
through.

After beating Halo on legendary i felt a deep sense of elation. That was obviously the most harrowing journey in my video gaming career. I actually beat it in peices. One of my first legendary victories was the Maw. My last level was Two Betrayels. It was mostly hard when right after you save keyes. I armed my shotgun and crouched on top of the pedastel and brought down as many flood as i could. When it got too heated, I jumped backward of the ledge while still firing. I then ran back and forth in the back of the room and let the remaining flood come to me. When the flood were all cleaned up I warily aproached the door. As soon as it opened i jumped backwards while emtpying my plasma grenade supply at he oncoming elites and grunts. My grenades had cleaned up most of the covies so i took position on the other side of the furthest column from the door. As soon as the remaining covies walked passed my sights I opened fire. When the room had been cleared I carefully made my way to the launch bay. When on the extened part of the second level I jumped down, knocked an elites skull in, and made my escape. What followed was a horrendous victory dance.

the hardest level by far is the truth and reconciliation. the library is easy just memorize where the guys with rockets are. the first room on T&R makes it the hardest on legendary or heroic. other levels are just long that doesn't make them hard. halo is really easy as long as you take the dropships head on. if you wait for them to gang up on you on the last 2 dropships especially your done for. stick a plasma as they're getting off the dropship... snipe some grunts outta their seats, just don't wait for them to kill your men.

A soon as I got my Xbox (after a year of mooching of others 'boxes) I played through the game on just Legendary. It took about trhee days of around 7 hours a day. But through that journey, the toughest bit is definately The Two Betrayals, the bit where there are three tanks, about 30 flood, 5 visible elites, a couple of gold ones and God knows how many invisible ones. Granted you don't really have to do that bit, you can just run around and jump in the banshee, however, I have never managed to kill all the covies and flood in that bit.
Tryth and Reconciliation comes in second, with the grav lift bit in the hangar, however the first time I played it on my Xbox, I beat it in one go, which I was very proud of.

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

The Truth and Reconcilliation is probably the hardest for me. The Library comes in second place. But of course, have shotgun, will travel.
