My favorite level by far would have to 343 guilty spark is the sixth level in Halo combat Evolved

This is a RETICULE, and that is a RETICLE. I'm using the latter to aim. And what are you using?

In the whole series? The Ark; 6th level in Halo 3. Everything that is great and fun in Halo can be found in that level: close-quarter battles in tight corridors and rooms, vehicle battles in large outdoor areas, sneaking, sniping, blowing stuff up with rocket launchers, being able to drive scorpion tanks, warthogs, ghosts, choppers, prowlers, and mongeese, Marines and ODST fighting at your side, being able to blow up not only regular Covenant vehicles like ghosts, wraiths, and so on, but also phantoms and a scarab, and absolutely beautiful scenery both in- and outdoors.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this level is Halo gameplay and level design at its absolutely best.

explaining my love for this level would go on and on for pretty long time so I'm giving the short version
1.The first in counter of the Flood
2.you get the shotgun for the first time
3.343 guilty spark that little artificial intelligence protector of the first halo ring
4.Better cool cut scene involving captain keys getting taking away by the flood
5.amaze type level if u played it the first time
6.kinda scary at the beginning of the level giving u a new perspective of horror type level.

U mad?

This is way too hard dude. I know it ain't what you asked for but I have to separate by game.

In Halo: Combat Evolved, I would have to go with The Silent Cartographer just because the on-foot action accompanied by the driving, and more on-foot, made it really entertaining. But 343 Guilty Spark is a very close second because it was a great climax to the story and it was exhilarating seeing the Flood and walking through the carnage they have left behind as you progress through the level, unaware of what's to come before that memorable cut-scene.

In Halo 2, my favorite aspect was the Covenant Civil War. Gravemind, which took you through the holy city amidst a war with Brutes and Jackals and Drones, and Grunts and Elites and hunters, was just so cool to watch the A.I.'s fight each other and witness the conflict within the Covenant. And of course the Mausoleum of the Arbiter, where Breaking Benjamin comes in with Blow Me Away, and Elite Honor Guards/Elite Ultras along with Hunters square off against Brutes and Drones, was one of the coolest fight moments in the game.

In Halo 3, The Covenant was my favorite level because it was so intense working alongside the Elites to move from each control room to shut down the barrier, finishing with a fight against two Scarabs, an alliance with the flood, and the death of Truth was awesome. Even the environment of the level was cool, ranging from a beautiful beach and grassy trails to a snowy area, along with Forerunner architecture. The cut-scene where Half-Jaw freaks as High Charity appears, and a chunk of the ship's hull crashes into the structure you're in unleashing flood, was just too exciting.

It's just too hard to decide omfg. But if I absolutely had to, I'd choose The Covenant just because Halo 3 employed better story development in it's Campaign levels and all-together, the cut-scenes and the level itself, were very well designed.

I'm just a regular Tiger roaming bnet.

For Ce: the Pillar of Autumn/the maw
For Halo 2: Gravemind/metropolis
For Halo 3: The ark or the covenant
Halo 3 ODST: Coastal highway/oni alpha site
Halo Wars: Scarab

Bring Back Rocket Race!!!

Halo 1: The Maw
Halo 2: Metropolis
Halo 3: The Covenant & Halo
Halo 3: ODST: NMPD HQ & Coastal Highway

I haven't played Halo Wars yet so I don't have a favorite mission in that. However, I also don't consider Halo Wars a real Halo game because it's not made by Bungie and it's not an FPS.

AotCR or The Maw. Too hard to choose. AotCR is just awesome, and The Maw just portrays the urgency so well. Better than any other game I've ever played.

I do consider ODST to be an official Halo game mainly because it's an FPS and it was made by Bungie. It also uses the same game engine as Halo 3. But if the lack of Master Chief is the reason why you don't consider it a true Halo game, then you're not going to like Halo: Reach either. Halo: Reach won't have Master Chief in it either.

"hole in tire" series?
I didn't know Bungie made a Halo series relating to an opening in a tire.........

Moving on, it's an easy choice for me:

Assault on the Control Room

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

343 Guilty Spark, hands down.

It was very scary... Very scary. The atmosphere in the murky swamp was perfectly pulled off, the downed Spirit; the Flood silhouettes that would run off into the distance when you looked at them and appeared as friendlies on your radar. All backed up by Marty's phenominal soundtrack.

And let us not forget Jenkins's helmet cam scene.

It was the one level where the Flood were perfect.

343 is a seriously great level, no doubts. Holds a special place for me, in that I thought the game was over the first time I took the Control Room. (Was the launch days - didn't really know how much a game could encompass back then.) Was thrilled to know the game was going to continue when "Well Enough Alone" came on. Great points by everyone (ajw), but, for all of the Betrayals and Covenant I've played through, I still love and play Outskirts the most. Just simply has everything; even the makings of Firefight in the small building at the beginning. Perfect.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Wow, that is a pretty tough toss-up. I would have to say it's between Halo CE Two Betrayals and Halo 3 The Ark. Both are just massive displays of why Halo is still one of the best executed FPS games to date.

The ark in halo3 would probably have to be the best level in Halo3 but comparing Halo CE to Halo3 campaign like wise is just like comparing a cake to a pile of shi* in my opinion

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Cheeto is the only one among you that doesn't suck.

Comes down to Two Betrayals and Great Journey from Halo CE and Halo 2 (respectively).

Have seen a lot of these posts; many Two Betrayals citings, but not too many for the Great Journey as "Best level." What do you like about that in comparison to the others, Cheeto ?

We aren't all in trouble; just the arogant -blam!-s (not totally unlike yourself).

Personally, I'd have to go with the level Halo from CE.

I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

Truth and Reconciliation. It may not be my number 1 favorite, but it definitely sticks out from the rest.

Probably The Covenant. To put it simply, the mission contains virtually everything that I love about Halo, from the large-scale battles, to the beautiful Forerunner environments, to the cinematic storytelling.
