Okay. I just downloaded Halo 2 Mod Release v5.9 and I'm having trouble with where to put the files that are included. So, my question is: Where do I place the files that are included with the download of Halo 2 Mod Release v5.9? I have (HHHT) Helpful Halo Hacking Tool, and the full version of Halo PC.

Use HHHT to aply the .ppf files to the right .map files.

can you give me a little bit more explanation than that? like which maps are the right map files, and which ppf's do I apply? Is there some way I can figure this out?

Well, if the .ppf file says hangemhigh.ppf (in the multiplayer map rar file) you apply that to the hangemhigh.map file using HHHT. You also need to replace carousel.map with the one that Halo 2 Mod Release v5.9 comes with.... I'm sure you can figure it out

ok dude, i got it to work, using HHHT. ok, on HHHT there should be 3 buttons at the top 1 says Maps Directory, othe Mods directory and another Backup directory, first of all click on Maps directory, it should bring up a white box, at the top type C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\Maps, ok that will bring up your Halo PC maps folder, click OK

Now see those those checked boxes kinda downward thats says show all mods and No backup, check them both, or just check the Show all mods if u dont want a backup file of a mooded map.

Now click the mods directory button up top, type C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\Maps\Mods, it will ask u to create this folder, click yes. now a folder will appear in your Halo PC maps folder as a subfolder, now all the things u downloaded for the mod, copy and paste them to that folder that u just made.

also make a backup folder of all the 'old' maps in case u dont like the mod. for this i used
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\Maps\old
but it dosent matter, how u do this is to copy and paste all the Halo\Maps maps into that 'old' folder

OK after u copied and pasted the mod files into the the Halo\Maps\Mods folder, u should be able to see the .ppf patches on the right side of the screen in a grey box if u cant be sure to click the Show all mods button up top.

Now see on the left of the screen, it shows maps like a20.map and beavercreek.map, click that map like a20.map, it will be on the left sid eof the screen in the white box, and see on the right side of the screen in the grey box, it will show a20.ppf
after u click a20.map once double click a20.ppf, at the bottom of the screen u should see
a20.ppf.

at the very bottom of the screen u should see Apply Patch and Undo Patch, click apply patch, and it will say Modified ******** bytes

this will take longer to say for maps like bitmaps.map

when u r all done with the maps, except bloodgulch.map, derelict.map and wizard.map
u exit out start the halo game and there u go.
