I find it funny that everyone here that is, or has played with, a modder is taking out their aggression on Bungie. It’s not Bungie that has set forth the rule that states: Playing with any modified content on Xbox live is non-allowable. It is in effect M$’s rule. Bungie is enforcing it. Even if a business model slight better thought out would have allowed such diversity for player interactivity of its gamming content, it is not. As stated by modders them selves they will find a work around, but as the system ages and options disappear the number of modders will dwindle. As such is the case with any game.
I for one applaud the efforts of Bungie in its attempts to slow or stop the malicious modders, while at the same time I sigh as this will strip away a bit more freedom from the gaming community’s that often in their own endeavors improve or give great ideas to developers and from the space that allows for creativity to shine.
