Wouldn't it be awesome to take halo 1 with you!

Specs aren't high enough. Might be able to run it on the iPad, but with a total overhaul of the source code. Even then, you'd have to deal with all the licensing issues. You do know that Microsoft owns Halo, right?

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

This would cause far to many problems to even bother trying this out even though it would be good. Bungie or the company that does it would need to reformat the entire game for it to work. Plus there is the issue of lisencing.

Something smells fishy...

Even if Halo was allowed onto some sort of beefed up iPad, How would you play it?

The iPad has a touch screen so people would have to play Halo Combat Evolved using their fingers or something. It would be just too difficult to play. No one would be able to get passed the first level.

Look up Nova on the app store. Not NEARLY as good as halo, but Gameloft made a halo look-a-like and it actually is pretty fun.

How would you play Halo on an Ipad?

No.

Halo: Combat Evolved is meant to be played on three consoles:
The PC (it was released for the Mac, but technically every mac is still a Personal Computer)
The Xbox
The Xbox 360 (backwards compatibility/games on demand)

And iPad or iPhone (or any other more capable smart phone) isn't right.

Well, with the Bluetooth capabilities on the iPad if you have it jailbroken you can use a Wii mote via Bluetooth right now to play snes. It wouldn't be that hard to implement it to use a ps3 or any other Bluetooth controller, if it were possible to get it coded correctly to run on said devices. Closest you can get for now is doom with a halo skin on it, lol.
