What do you guys think about stationary machineguns? Personally I think they're really cool. The should add a little more stategy to halo 2 multiplayer, and they look really cool too. The view when you get on one looks great and I hope it doesn't change. I would like for marines in single player to be able to get on them like in E3 2004, that would be nice to see.

What do you guys think?

Plz don't double post topics, it will only give you attention in a bad way. If people didn't wish to reply the first, what makes you think they will change their minds?

The thing Im worried about the Stationary guns is it will end up like halo pc no one uses them because its to easy to get killed on by snipers and other ways. They need to be more balanced.

I was just hoping for them to be like the LAAG gun on the warhog :'(

About the balancing, they could put a shield thing on them, but I'm sure if used properly they could do some serious damage, especially if you have back up to lay down some covering fire to make sure snipers can't zoom.

I'm sure Bungie will find ways to make them effective without leaving you too open to attack, placement on the environment, etc. The coolest thing Ive heard about em so far is from one of the reviews by the winning Mt. Dew Contest teams. He says he's watching a guy from a stationary gun but loses him behind a wall, only to feel extreme bliss as the wall crumbles under his fire exposing rebar and laying his target to waste.

Heaven.
