I got to thinking about the multiplayer thing and Live and was wondering if playing on Live was going to be similar to xbconnect. The way we play Halo on xbconnect is good for the fact that you can select who you play, how many, how long, and so forth before you start playing. However most first person shooters on Live are not that way. You simply join a game that has already started and could be almost done and that's it while people are coming, leaving, changing teams, etc. And that sucks really bad.
Example: On Halo PC you can only join a game that is already in progress not knowing who your teammates are, how far into the game they are and so fourth and personally I think that blows ass.
I guess the main question I am raising is: Are you going to be able to select who plays, how many, what game, how long or frags, and then lock the room and start like on xbconnect or are there going to be servers with what seems to be neverending games?
