But in all things their must be balance. Without Evil there is no need for good. So ... from now on I pledge to be SO EVIL the rest of you pansies can all be Good without disrupting that balance.

Hey guys! I am going to buy Halo: Combat Evolved soon, but I need your help.
I have looked all over the internet and can't find out where to buy it.
But I have a MUCH more important question. I have both an Xbox and a Mac. So should I get it for Xbox or should I get it for Mac? The Xbox has better graphics(it shouldn't but my TV's graphics is better then my Mac's), you can play co-op with your friends, it's on a bigger screen, and I just REALLY love the feeling of having a controller in your hands rather then a keyboard and mouse. But the Mac has more maps, online multiplayer, and a lot of little things nobody really notices.
Tell me which one to choose before I choose myself (and I may choose the wrong one)!!!!!

RIP Halo 2: November 9, 2004-May 10, 2010
I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

Go with Mac. You can download the custom edition, which is honestly amazing. You can always buy a controller for your computer, a corded 360 controller will work. Plus, the PC version has more maps for multiplayer.
Look up Halo Custom Edition videos on youtube, look at some of the amazing maps.

Can I get Custom Edition for Mac?

Get it for Xbox, as it was meant to be played.

I am not sure that you can use a 360 controller on a mac. I might be wrong about that though.

You can definitely use a 360 controller on a mac. But I would recommend getting it for xbox. I have Halo PC, running on bootcamp on my mac and the 360 controller is a little finicky. If you want the native feeling, stick to the xbox.

No, however it is possible to have custom maps by simply renaming. You can also mod on the Mac which is oodles of fun if successful.

Even though it does play better on a 360, I suggest the Mac version. You can play online, which is an absolute blast. As well as Custom Edition.

O.K. I am 99% sure I am going to get the Xbox version. But before I do I have 1 more question. I am willing to spend $30 on the Mac version. So is there anywhere I can get it that is $30 or less? And, where is the cheapest place to get it for the Xbox.

Haha, last I checked, Mac version of Halo: Combat Evolved was over $100.
I guess you're better off getting it for Xbox. Unless you buy bootcamp and then buy Halo for PC.
