In Halo Combat Evolved, I am stuck at the Light Fuse, Run Away chapter. I jumped on the beam & destroyed the 1st core then fell off, when I got back to the 3rd floor, the beam's blocking the way. It is too high to jump on, there are 2 crates in front & I managed to get on the one nearest the beam but the gap is too wide to jump.

Is there another way to get to the platform at the end of the beam or a cheat?

Directions to the hallway that heads from bottom to top:

When you get to the "Light Fuse, Run Away" chapter title, there are two hallways to enter the engine room out of. If you take the right hallway, go up the ramp to your right, and then head to the far side of the room, there is an entrance to a hallway which will take you from bottom to top without excessive crouch jumping or other obstruction (except for a lot of flood).

Otherwise, you can continue to brave the crouch-jumping platforming game aspect of the level :)

The easist part to "Light Fuse, Run Away" is to jump onto the beams and shoot a rocket/throw a grenade as usual, but instead of jumping off, jump along the rest of the beams to your right/left and walk up one level. Easy.

Fancy joining a group, but don't wan't people too obsessed and serious? Want a group where messing around is a given?

DO YOU WANT TO BE A NINJA?

Then I have three words for you. Team Flying Ninja

Alternatively, add me and we will be happy to tell you about ourselves.

As you retract the shielding, try standing on it as they move away - give you a reeeeally easy shot.

Yeah, Ok, thanks, I muddled through somehow, I forgot to follow the nav points that's why I got lost & kept going round in circles. I'm at the Warthog now.

Is easy to get confused there. But now you're in for some real fun. (Spoiler Alert...) I remember back in the day, I found a very simple way to get to the end sequence. Was just like, the first right turn or something. Cut a load of time out of the process. Am sure a few folks here can tell you that way if you want it.

Don't think I can finish the end run, I only have 6 mins. & Warthog is too slow & hard to steer so time runs out way before the end. Much rather fight my way there on foot.

Is there any way to cancel the time limit? Saw some 8 year old kid complete it, on YouTube.

Theres no way to control the time limit... :(

Actually warthog is faster than on foot, you can just drive through the covenant instead of trying to fight them and their bullets won't do nearly as much damage. Try just sticking to pressing 'w' and not going over the bumps.

I think I've done the warthog run with something like 1:12 left on the Legendary timer.

Yes, On Legendary you do get less time to complete the run.

I didn't think it was possible to walk that route even if you had enough time. I always found that the passage way was too steep in several places to allow walking. You might be able to jump out of the hog after the huge jump, but it might not give you enough time.
Even five minutes is more than enough time once you get a little warthog driving practice in.

Yeah, it's not possible to go on foot I tried it, the hills are too steep to climb. I'm no good at this stuff, don't have the patience (or time) to try over & over again.

Pity there aren't more options, anyway I'll come back periodically till I get it or give up.

What's "W"? I've got X,Y,B,A.

you're playing on xbox aren't you...yea i was talking about computer...just press whatever xbox key makes you go forward.

the enemies shouldn't be a problem, just don't stop moving and they can't hurt you other than taking out a teeny bit of shield.

if by chance you go over a bump and flip, just quickly flip the hog again and get in and keep driving. the timer allows for a couple mistakes like this..
