No this is not another typical post of offering in-game help to get Endure. This is actually something I worked up for a Forum member several weeks back - a strategy that has helped me and various people I've teamed up with on several occasions.
The best site (and easiest) for Endure is Alpha Site. The best game plan is to go into Alpha Site knowing who you are playing with - know the strengths and weaknesses prior to tackling this achievement. You need to know who is great with which weapons, who struggles with certain Covenant forces, and that you can trust your partner to watch your back and call out problems.
You need cooperation. You need to check your ego at the door. Someone needs to walk out with fewer kills than the others but a boatload of Assist medals and that person should be happy - not upset. That is the kind of selfless player you need - times two! But everyone should be able to fill this role, not just a select one or two players otherwise you're doomed to failure.
I've seen H3 players ranked as high as 45s get their butts handed to them because "too many leaders, not enough workers" played together. Everyone wanted the kill and the betrayals were way up there!
-------------------
So to begin, I am assuming that you will go in as a Party. Player 1 refers to the person who hosts or is inviting people in. Player 2 should be the first person he asks to the group and accepts, and so on.
The best strategy is as follows:
Player 1 -- Carbine or AutoMag w/ Rocket Launcher or Fuel Rod Cannon
Player 2 -- Plasma Pistol w/ SMG or Plasma Rifle
These two spawn on right stairs and shoot down left stairs -- P1 on box and P2 floating around cover near/around box doing call-outs of incoming that could hamper P1 who should be scoped on headshots.
Player 3 -- same as P1 except opposite weapon (if P1 has AutoMag, P3 gets Carbine -- same w/ Rockets & FRC)
Player 4 -- same as P2 except opposite secondary weapon
These two spawn on left stairs and shoot down right stairway -- P3 stands on sign to the right of large box and P4 floats doing same as P2.
P2 and P4 should be excellent at Spike & Plasma grenade sticks and should be first persons down after a wave to gather new PPs and grenades. P1 & P3 should only get "leftovers" of grenades, concentrate on AutoMag or Carbine ammo as well as Rocket of FRC ammo.
P1 and P3 should focus on destroying Grunts & Jackals snipers, plus headshots of Brutes after shields ripped by P2 and P4. P2 and P4 strip shields of Brutes and take down Buggers. FRC Chieftains and Hammer Chieftains should be stripped of shield by P2 & P4, then as shield is dropping P1 and P3 should be firing FRC or Rocket to exterminate. In a pinch, P1 and P3 can fire off several quick headshots that will knock off the helmet and then expose the head for the actual headshot. But you'd best be accurate! Don't waste too many shells or ammo!
Hunters - same thing -- P2 & P4 with a Plasma or Spike Grenade first to weaken, then P1 & P3 with FRC or Rocket to kill. Headshots won't work for these - sorry! A well-placed Spike or Plasma can one-kill a Hunter - but you've got to be good and have a little luck!
Bonus Round -- P1 and P2 should race up left staircase about 2/3rds of the way away from their spawn point and 1/3rd of the way to where dropships land - near to some large columns/pillars. Look up at small elevator-like windows with Rocket Launcher or FRC. Zoom in on one window.
When announcer says "All Skulls On" this is like your "On your mark-get set" moment. When he says "Iron On" you should already be sending one Rocket shell or two FRC blasts into first window. Move your targeting to the other window and repeat. Examine your point total needed for bonus lives. If you got it - which when done right you will - pull back to dropship landings and wait them out. DO NOT waste more ammo! Best way to know you've got it is if Rocket player scores a Killionaire medal - almost guaranteed enough points on that medal alone! Your FRC should have at least a Killtacular or a Killtrocity - but if done right he should also have a Killionaire medal for his efforts.
Then reload your Rockets, FRC and other weapons and wait for next set to begin. Rocket ammo is up on left dropship ramp -- sniper ammo on right. P2 and P4 can "drop" a Plasma Pistol during 1st Wave of each new set and grab something like Shotgun, Sniper, or other Covenant weapon to help kill what does not get headshot. Otherwise stick to the plan!
This strategy has served me and my groups well when we get all 4 members to stick to it religiously. The key is COMMUNICATION and keeping ALL PLAYERS back away from that central courtyard where Covenant funnels into. The closer you are to that area, the more likely chance of death. If you notice your teammates dying still too much (average of 13-18 deaths or less PER PERSON is okay for Endure to Set 5, Round 1, Wave 1) then move back further and set P1 and P3 on spawning steps and P2 and P4 just below them on the landing in front of those steps.
The other key is the bonus round! You MUST get all needed points. Going over those points won't garner you any more lives - it just wastes ammo. For 4 players you get 4 lives MAX added to your pool/bank so don't waste grenades, Rockets, etc. thinking you can earn double the lives for double the needed points.
Conserve ammo - cover each other's backsides - lots of constructive call-outs on ammo, weapons, and who is getting what as far as Covenant forces coming at you. Defence is the key -- NOT offence! Play smart - play cagey. Betrayals should NEVER take place if you do it right and don't get greedy on the kills and by Set 5, Round 1, Wave 1 ... you should have double-digit lives in your pool/bank and then you can mess around if you desire.
