Subject: How free roaming in New Mombasa should've been!!!

This is how the free roaming missions should've been: It should've had more things going on during the night like small fights between Marines resistance and covenant attackers.

There should have been marine checkpoints in the big city of New Mombasa, like if you go into a building you'd find a bunker in the basement with Marines, needing help with the resistance outside that keeps attacking their bunker. There also should've been like defensive points in the city where marines protected a street from being overrun by covenant and helping these Marines is an option, you can choose to help them or just keep going on with your mission.

The fact that the city was so empty bothered me and that you couldn't go inside more buildings, and that there were NO marines left in the city, and don't tell me that it was overrun and that all the marines are dead, There had to be at least 3 or 4 pockets of resistance. So what do you think?

I agree, but there's nothing they can do now.. :(

They were over run.

So what, like i said in my post, it would've enhanced the New Mombasa gameplay ten fold.

pretty much. i mean, they basically had control over the whole city. even the ODST's had trouble. So I don't think a few Marines would hold out. But who know, there might be a couple in some buildings, we just can't get in there. thats all :P

No but if there were resistance spots it wouldve been funner playing in such a big ass city, it was too vast not much going on but a few covenant patrols. That gets repititive.

Halo 3 (31st), ODST (14th) and Reach (4th) Mythic Conqueror. (Mythic is Solo, Legendary, All skulls on + scoring on and no deaths/saves).

It would have been more fun. I agree. The night was too empty and too easy to just to straight through with no fights, which made it an entirely skippable experience.

I also would have liked to explore those ever looming sky skyscrapers more. I felt the entire New Mombasa mission was pretty much on ground level. being able to sneak across the walkways and rooftops would have been much more fun than driving my mongoose past everything I encountered.

What a hipster.

I would have liked to be able to forge in New Mombasa.

Yea, most fights in the New Mombasa was evadable, and most building you couldn't get into which in my opinion sucked. It would've been much funner if there were mini mission in new mombasa that you could do. Like helping Marines.
