Bungie is really going all out with this game. I can't imagine how it must feel to say this is there last Halo game. The thought alone makes me sad. I can really see how they are pouring their hearts and souls into Reach though. Lucky for us this final chapter may prove to be the last game any we ever need to purchase! (aside from Bungie's next series of course) Super excited to see the long list of options available all ready, but having (Redacted) appear on that list so many times is a true joy. I also cannot WAIT to hear what badass things I'll (Nobel 6) will be saying through out my campaign experience. Thank you for this amazing update. Keep on doing what you do best Bungie :) !!

when bungie released halo3 they said that it was the last game, when bungie released odst they said that it was the last game, now they are saying reach is the last game, do you see where im going with this, and it would be kind of harsh to leave master cheif floating in space

That was the original name for the Fuel Rod gun. The guts of our game is rife with references to original names, because when you finally come up with a final name, it would be quite a bit of work to go back through the scripts, code, and tags and retrofit all the references to match it.

Flak Cannon = Fuel Rod gun
Spike Rifle = Spiker
Survival = Firefight
Hopper = Playlist
etc.
So perhaps Heretics ARE Insurrectionists.

your voice in the mic wont change but you will hear a female voice shout in exitement when you get an overkill

A lot of cool options there (bottomless clip, better vehicle availability options), but still feel like there are a lot missing too. Wheres the option to customise player traits per loadout? Class based dream goes out the window. I mean, if its actually an option in PvP, why not PvE Firefight too?

Also, in a way, slightly disappointed that one of those customisation options is 'firefight voice.' Just not something I'm interested in at all really. I could eat my words, but eh. And I mean, its going to be freaking weird having Jorge's voice come out of a female spartan, especially when she has her own voice already. Was kinda hoping for more visual customisation.

Also also, why no 'blind' option for the enemies? There was a blind grunt in Halo 3 on The Covenant, so we know even the old engine could do it, even if it was a bug.


But, thank god black eye is no longer on by default. That skull bled fun out of the game. However, if it had been me, I would have included options of 'vampirism' per melee, per projectile damage, per explosive, per splatter, per kill or headshot or assassination etc. So at least it could have been made a nicer "get a headshot on an enemy" type of mechanic rather than the silly melee-recharge that it is. Ah well.

Still, I look forward to 2000% 4x overshield, high jump height, low gravity, super fast, bottomless clip rocket and fuel rod gun weilding Spartan III action against the unending alien hordes in.... The Power Hour.

The firefight voice is just an option, nobody forces you to use it.
As for "blind" enemies, i think "near sighted" means blind.
