Not really. But when I try to play halo, I get this error that says "cannot locate allocated memory. Some other application has loaded where halo needs to be locatd." Task manager shows ~f1d055.tmp loading at the same time halo pops up. How can I get rid of ~f1d055 for good?

how much memory (RAM)do you have on your computer?
and i'm assuming that "~f1d055" is under procceses, not applications in the ctrl-alt-del menu, right?

Let there be CHAOS!

if ~f1d055 is running...that basically means halo is running in the background in some way or another. close that program with task manager and open halo again. not sure if that answers your question....but i tried lol

i think that other process is required by halo, but don't know what it does or if you can get away without it.

aah....I was a little pissed. Well, one time in-game I was lagging terribly, and it seems closing out f1d made the lag stop...for SOME reason...

I'm not sure what this is...but I don't think the file you mention is the deciding factor. Acording to a blog i googled, the temp file you named is some kind of non malicious spyware, like a traking cookie(keep in mind, this info comes from a persons blog, don't freak out that you have spyware on your PC...).

Here's the link if you want to read up. he talks about a different program, but the one you name is also mentioned as a similar type of ap. http://spywareblog.com/index.php/2004/10/23/p40

Either way, shutting it off from task hasn't and shouldn't cause you any problem. i suggest KEEPING it off, just to be safe.

Taking it off task manager means halo just freezes without loading up....
