Arrogant hyperbolic exclamations of woe? Seems like a normal day for Halo/Bungie.net.

Earlier today, I played some Delta Halo and got outside the map for fun. I drove across all the mountains and even got to the point where the skybox ends.
It makes me really sad that Halo 3 and Reach are so restricted (you can still get out of maps but it requires a lot more than just driving)....
The exploration aspect of Halo 2 is one of the positive things that can happen when you have to rush out a game.
Even if the game wasen't rushed, i don't think Halo 2 would have had invisible walls like Halo 3-Halo Reach. Maybe the technology just wasen't there yet, or maybe they just for some odd reason thought it was a good thing to start including from Halo 3 and on.
Restricing a game with invisible barriers dosen't just take away the fun of a game, but also kills the illusion. If they have to restrict it, the do it with real objects.
And if people figure out how to get past them, so what.
Reach and it's Return to battle field zone barriers, thats probaly the most retardet thing to be included in a Halo game. That stuff feels as fake as it does in call of duty.
There's still a hell lot of tricking and exploring and Reach though (much more than in Halo 3). Pan Cam, Out of Map launching, barrier bypassing....Some guy even managed to get out of the Skybox in Tip of the Spear! Everyone who played Reach knows that this is an incredible feat, since Reach's skyboxes are massive and the objects in the background are actual 3D objects.
Thing is, in Halo 2, you had no barriers and thus you didn't have to use complicated tricks to bypass such barriers.
