Johnson survived because really, they set up morgan freeman to pose as seargeant johnson throughout Halo CE because covenant were specifically looking for him, while Johnson was really in the Spartan suit and since Morgan Freeman was god on Bruce Almighty, he could always come back after being..."killed", so really Seargant Johnson was the Spartan in green, the one referred to as "the demon" and the reason why his tag is Spartan-117 John...shortened from Johnson, and the voice?....distorted like Darth Vader :P

And before you ask, yes I did put too much thought into this theory XD

I think its funny when Johnson and the Elite hug and the Elite grabs his butt

  • 12.14.2010 8:58 AM PDT

I'll go ahead and give the answer from the book, despite all the awesomley funny comments.

Johnson had a disease that comes about from too much exposure to plasma radiation. This happened because he and several marines gained control of a crate of Covenant Plasma Grenades years before, used them all, and got a whole heck of a lot radiation poisoning. As a side effect, Johnson's nervous system became messed up, and the Flood rendered it useless (the Flood infect people by and thrive on the nervous system of sentient creatures). As a result, the Flood got rid of Johnson, and he got away on a Pelican before Halo blew.

How do I know all this? Because I'm a fan who read the books and had too much time on his hands. So call me a nerd....you're probably right!

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

No one told him how to die. Why do you think he kept getting up again?

Not nearly nedry enough. That disease you wrote about, it wasn't real. It was a cover up for the SPARTAN I project, which was originally called ORION. Johnson was a Spartan I. If you read Contact Harvest you will see that they mention ORION atleast twice.

I've fought mudcrabs more fierce than you!

Lol i could never beat CE on Legendary. Hardest one in the series by a mile. Therefore i never saw the legendary ending until recently.

You clearly never experienced Halo 2's Legendary (aka digital cyanide) mode.

It's actually because he was a Spartan 1. That was just a cover story for the side effects.

Indeed. Boren's Syndrome was made up by ONI to cover up the identities of the ORION Project's (Spartan-I) members. It was really Johnson's augmentations that made the Flood incapable of infecting him.

read the books and find out

Okay, before you make yourself look silly, I have all the books, I have read them all several times, I do not need you to tell me to read them.

Boren's Syndrome was a hoax, go read the Graphic Novel.

DISLIKES:

well bungie had made johnson survive via the special cutscene, the books were made later on and they had made a more different kind of story line that made things make more sence and a little extra details were added.

The best event in the Halo series was the grunt rebellion!

Listen to some of this on, this site.

Chuck Norris And Arnold Schwarzenegger assisted him ;)

Johnson dies about 10 billion times in Combat Evolved. I love finding him in campaign and killing him.

Shot him in the 2nd level with the pistol, and i'm like. "What the hell did I just do?!"

Games I like:,
Half-Minute Hero
MBU
Portal
Halo 3 is the best Halo ever
Maps I like: Turf, Avalanche, Pylon, Sandbox, Breakpoint and many more.

My theory is that the elite put a teleporter in his pocket, not strong enough to get him to earth but strong enough to get him someplace safe.

Read First Strike. It covers how Johnson and a few other including the Chief survived Halo and got back to Earth.

Short Version: He has a certian disease that prevents the Flood from infecting him.

The hero I looked forward to be. Forgeable Pelicans in Halo: CE:A, please.

Posted by: Shanack
he was infected in campaign but because he had a type of radiation poisoning from using plasma grenades since he found a box at one point of his life and refused treatmeant because he wanted to skip down time, but this radiation made it impossible for the flood to turn him into a flood infection, and he survived by taking a pelican out in time. roughly, and yes im a nerd, what can i say? the books were amazing you shud read them i have them all unless theres a new one. the legendary ending was just to be funny.
actually i saw people talking about killing him in campaign and i have the pc version and the campain is laggy, so as soon as i saw him in mission two and he comes to talk to you i stuck him with a plasma and watched him spaz out runing around in circles arms flailing all in the laggy slo mo that is my halo pc campain. totally priceless

You are so stupid johnson is immune to flood infection as he was apart of orion project (spartan I) and he contracted borens syndrome. the plasma grenades were a cover story, the infection cannot progress in him as his body will completely reject internal and external "conditions".

BTW- read my post on thread "best spartan"
