4th post! Awwww yeah! Thats my best position yet.

The movies gonna be tight! If everyone on the team has as much dedication as Bungie, theres no going wrong.

Holee -blam!-. Thanks, Joe Staten. If we get the movie even close to the cinematic direction in Halo 2, it will be a blockbuster.

Like TLoR = Good

Like Stormship Troopers = Bad

Good write-up.

Yea, it looks like it's gonna be good. I hope it turns out good. It's going to be hard to find the right people for the right character. It needs to have that Halo feel to it. All in all i think it's going to turn out to be a good movie, it just needs awesome and realistic looking fights. Nothing dull. Nothing that will distract you from the fact that the covenant and humans are in a brutal war.

I hope Halo 3 won't have lame movie tie-ins like having to unlock FMV from the movie... or changing the Chief's voice in Halo 3 to match the lead actor's from the movie.

Wow, I'm extremely excited about the Halo movie. It's gonna be so sick. During the whole movie, I'm probably gonna be like, trying to press A through the cut-scene. Haha, jk. I'm gonna be searching for a controller the whole time, wanting to play the thing. haha. Good story, Bungie.

  • 08.23.2005 10:10 AM PDT

Why don't they just use the same voice from the actual halo games for the mastrerchief? and i agree there shouldn't be any tie-ins of the movie in Halo 3, and won't the movie be coming out in 2007?

  • 08.23.2005 10:12 AM PDT

WETTING MY PANTS!!!!

I just hope all goes according to plan. What has been said is certainly looking that way but...

DONT -blam!- THIS UP BUNGIE!!!

There'll be hell to pay if you do....

I'm too old to have a signature.

I think that maybe you guys should give the fans some input on this movie. Just like fans have input on sequels to games. For example, Halo 1 had no online capabilities except for Xbox Connect created by fans and that kept Halo running until Halo 2. Fans really do have a large impact on many of Bungie's workings, especially your wallets. So, in light of this, why not give fans some input? Give us some script of the movie and see how we like it? (No extreme spoilers though) No movies do this and I bet that if you guys atleast got like a focus group of fans that could have some input on the script it would turn out better for us all. Or make a forum for it because I will bet that less than 7 or so percent of the Halo/Halo2 community is super-active on every forum. I still want to know if it will be like real life or computerized. Personally, I would not mind watching a sweet campaign with awesome battles, explosions, new vehicles, new enemies, new allies, and new weapons. It could even be the 4th game? Halo: The Movie Game? Or, even though this sounds really weird and nothing like this is in today's world, but how about a movie theatre with about 100 seats and everybody got their own tv and game. All 100 people in the movie theatre would be playing the same campaign together with headsets (so a super-computer thingy could record the gameplay and the people talking) and the decisions of every one in the theatre would decide the outcome of the movie/game. You could spend about and hour playing the game and then... After it is all done, a super-computer could have recorded the whole thing. The computer would then take all the footage and show it on the screen in a movie-like way. So it is really your movie. How cool would this be. Have an army of Master Chiefs or Marines getting into sweet situations and stuff like that. Have it be liek a campaign but where the is one main objective but you can do it any way you want to. Like have a Grand Theft Auto world. Mission: Destroy the Covenant Capital Ship. Or, if there were less people in the theatre, it could be the Fall of Reach when the Spartans were sent down to Reach and whenever a spartan died, the person would have to become their choice of a covenant soldier and kill the Spartans or capture them.

The were just some ideas that I think would be kinda cool if it could ever work. Thank you for your time!

This movie better be accurate or else Halo fan's who have played both Halo 1 and 2 and have read all the books (eg. me) are gonna say "When did this happen?" or "The AOTCR(or whatever you want, i just used it as an example)level didn't start like that!"
