If there isent one, then oh well, ill learn to deal. Hey, we have to get along without the pistol, right? God rest its soul, :*(.

The pistol destroyed halo 1 MP

Maybe for people who couldent use it, but the pros got along just fine.

It was a noob gun.... you seem not to understand that when you played halo that and the SR were the only guns people used.... Thanks to halo 2 atleast one of those devils are taken out.

Pistol and Sniper rifle are the best guns in my opinion. If you dident like them, then you shouldent buy halo 2.

Even in the E3 build Health was present. Most people thought it was less, but its hard to tell with the new weapons and in the middle of the game to get an accurate amount. Now the indicator of it, that looks to be gone.

The only reason the people in halo used the pistol and the SR so much was becasue it was the only usable weapons..... the Shotty was not usable unless upclose... other wise you would be sniped.... Good thing they even things out by giving the needler power.. making dual wielding... and also the buetifull battle rifle ahh......
Well all I have to say is that in halo 2 the guns will be more balanced.... and they really needed to be. Good job bungie

I think it's more realistic without the health bar. Think about it - how can you measure how much health you have in real life???

Shields, you can measure, but health? No.

well in real life, No. but the MJOLNIR armor monitors your vitals and gives you a health bar, or a measure of how healthy you are

SB-117

The health doesn't seem weaker to me judging by articles and videos. If you shoot someone with the pistol while their shields are down it takes only a few shots in halo1 aswell...

Bungie did what they had to to appeal to the "new people," because they wanted everyone to have a chance, even though we will always find a way to absue the weapons and pick on these "new people."

I think what is happening is that you will only have one bar, it will display your shield, and your health. I am fairly sure the bar will drop as the shield goes down, and it will start changing to red as your health drops.

Maybe the color of the Shield bar's border represents health?

Actually, there are no more health packs. I don't know about the health bar.

Of course, I guess that makes the game a lot easier, you have to survive battle by battle, instead of the whole level.

Won't being able to recharge practically all of the damage you had taken make it a bit easier?

That's a really good thought. How about the idea that the default mode set for the games at E3 and the demos (the leaked beta screens didn't display a health bar either) are just set to "no health bar" kinda like halo1 had the "no shield" option for MP. ANyway, we'll see what happens. Bungie's too good of a developer to let something like this go bad. It'll be fine, guys.

ok folks, think carefully now, is bungie not stupid? do they know what they're doing? Did they make the best game to ever grace this planet with it's precence? and are they making a game even better than that? the answer to all of these questions is yes. Are they going to change what people have never complained about? i promise you that things that are goiing to stay the same are the things no one complains about.

Actually the pistol is still in just powered down alittle, but there is the new magnum which is more powerfull than the orrigional pistol. The only reason Halo turned into a pistol war was because the pistol was a really good weapon, think about it what other weapon was really goo like the pistol. Now they make all the weapons good so even if there is a weapon exactly like the pistol people wont just go for it. And If u just removed the health it would be bad but they have replaced the health with a stronger shield, so it is the exact same. For example lets see number: lets say ten is the overall damage cpacity with the shield and the health, the shield has 7 damage capacity and the health 3, now if you remove the health it goes down to 7, but they have made the shields stronger by 3 so it is actually still 10. So it is the exact same, infact better because you dont have to find health it regenerates. And who know health might be in the final game.

Finally someone understands! Also the pistol isn't a noob gun only the leet could use it to it's potential it sounds like more unskilled players making excuses for their ablility.

hmmm, that wouldbe cool if the shield bar just overrlapped the health bar, so the health only shows once the shield is gone, and the border color gives you an idea what the health is when the shield is up, tat wouldbe cool.

If you decide not to by the game over a petty issue like this, then that is fine by me. Halo 2 will obviously be a great game, and Bungie wouldn't screw it up.

Don't buy it - we don't need anymore retards playing over Live with us.

Although, their are many to argue that it is not Bungies' responsibility to destroy rumors before they grow out of control, it really is. Bungie is a company based off of consumers products and whether or not the products sell is why it is Bungies responsibility to its customers to set things straight. If they didn't want it to grow out of control and have so many people become dissapointed with it then they should have posted something or never had put that ILB.com at the end of the theatrical release. That was irrisponsible of them for doing something like that. To blame those who are young and say it is their fault is also irrisponsible. I don't care either way when the game is released, but I must state my opinion and to have it locked up because it goes against what is happening is only something to stiffen the fact that there is something to hide.
