You know guys, If you like all of the old maps so much when you wanna play them and theyre not on halo 2. Well the sequel doesn't prevent you playing on the old game if you think they are so perfect. Ever thought that maybe, bungie will have found the good stuff in the best levels and there are trying to replicate it in the new levels. I'm pretty surer that this waterwork level looks better than my present favourite level which is blood gulch.

And to that guy who asked whats so good about it, well, put it this way, you can use vehicle well. And sniper rifles. It has fairly good interior, stuff the shotgun does well with, that is the ultimate rally or ctf level. And its the level me and my mates usually play.

We also play hang em high and battle creek fairly often.

Be cool if blood gulch was snowy and if all of the levels had changing lighting for nightime and if it rained terrentially. I reckon it will be very cool to fight in the terrential downpour ant night.

I have to admit thats one of the best ideas I've heard come out of these forums in quite a while. I think playing blood gulch would be great fun, make it pitch black. Perhaps each team gets two static machines guns with mounted spotlights. So while some people go out and do the fighting, others help light up the level (with light and bullets :)) with the mounted machine guns.

Imagine CTF, "RED TEAM HAS THE FLAG!". Suddenly two blue guys rush to the spotlights to hurriedly scour the map -blam!- (lol, it wasn't derogatory) POW Camp style to find the intruder with the flag. Wow, well done Comrad, I really like the idea of night and rain, might make BG a bit harder for the snipers too, which would be nice. I can just picture two chiefs running around BG trying to avoid being seen only to run within 3 feet of each other without realising it.

The bases would have to be lit permenantly so you know where you are going, and perhaps some low level strip lighting along the main paths, but darker the better.

Good ideas, but they have already said the game has realtime lighting, but it may not go completely dark and if it does well i'm sure it will be full moon and you could see a little.

If you look at the different E3 videos and Multiplayer videos you can see the real time lighting at work. Some videos on Zanzibar a very bright when the sun is out, and other videos on Zanzibar look like it is about to rain. The videos are so short which makes it hard to see the lighting change but it does if you look closely.

1) We figured this when that weekly update was posted
2)Dont EVER say something is "official" or "confirmed". You are NOT a member of Bungie and you do not have the 'authority' to confirm stuff. Plus, it makes you sound like some sort of smart-ass.

I get sick of hearing people say 'They better keep BG and SW, they better keep them!'. WHO CARES ABOUT THOSE TWO DAMN MAPS?? They was the only two large vehicles maps on Halo: CE, THANK GOD. I hate n00b maps like that that rely so much on vehicle use. The only use those maps have to me is sniper battles. There will be more large maps in Halo 2 that will make you vehicle lovers forget about SW and BG so I hope they don't keep them, it'll just fill up two spots with something useless. I hope they do keep all maps besides Chiron, SW, and BG... and yes they need to keep Boarding Action. That map is second to none in team sniper battles, if you haven't played it, play it. Not only will it improve your sniping but it's fun as Hell too. I hope Halo 2 has more small and midsize maps than anything, much like Halo: CE, but due to the XBox Live 16 player thing they will make more large maps. I just hope it isn't like Halo PC where every single map is huge and worthless... I played Halo PC 5 times and threw it in the garbage, GOOOO GEARBOX!

dude wtf the way you said it, any new comer could comer could read that and think it's confirmed in Halo 2.

And he's not contradicting your little "speculation" because a speculation requires some sort of evidence.

First of all ShinomoriX2, this post was started by me after realising that not everybody caught this information found within the update like you and I did. I've seen alot of post questioning this topic even after the update came out.

Second of all, your right I'm not a member of Bungie and have no authority. However, I am a member of Bungie's forums and I'm a member that has the ability to read. What I read in the OFFICIAL update's is OFFICIAL, and I am just repeating what they have already confirmed.

Lastly, I am not a smart-ass, if anyone is being a smart ass it is you, attempting to act as though you are a member of Bungie with authority, talking to me in the manner you are.

Shishka has already posted in the thread and had no problem with it. Shishka actually told someone in this thread to stop making stuff up. Wouldn't you think he would tell me that?

ShinomoriX2 you are not a moderator, so please stop moderating!

1) I think that people caught on, just no one was surprised in any way.
2)yes but the official update didn't officially say "The original halo multiplayer maps are going to be in halo 2"

it only highly suggested it(altho i'm 100% sure it's true). Until Bungie officially SAYS it, it's not official.
