Subject: Halo CE CE -devmode exception

I'm having trouble trying to run devmode on a dedicated server I am trying to set up. When I try to change the shortcut target with "-console -devmode" tacked on to the end, I get an exception shortly after I launch the game. Is there any way to fix this?

The game will run if I only have "-console" at the end and will not run when only "-devmode" is tacked on, so I think the problem is with "-devmode".

I believe the issue lies with trying to run -devmode with a dedicated server. To my knowledge -devmode is only available when playing locally alone. Multiplayer (LAN or not) is not supported with -devmode.

"-devmode" is only available to LAN (Local Area Network). You will have to copy Halo: Custom Edition, and paste it onto the desktop so you have two. Keep one "Halo: CE" and have the shortcut "-console -screenshot". Then, go to the other one you just made and rename it "Halo: CE Dev" or something. Make that shortcut "-console -devmode -screenshot".

This way you will have one for internet and another for devmode activities. :)

If devmode is only available in LAN games, how are people able to use devmode abilities (such as cheat_super_jump or cheat_deathless_player) in dedicated servers?

My goal is to somehow set up a server where I have the ability to kick people when necessary. Is there a guide on how to set that up?
