looks nice, but....
you kinda have a lot of spelling issues. you might want to fix those if you want this to seem more "official"

sweet, if you straightened out rules and such that could actually work, btw what's with those 2 cards with one has these weird black round nades with purple things sticking out, and the other has human nades which are green.

the "needler grenades" came from halo custom edition. originaly from an intresting map called needlocity.

the only reason trading card games don't die as fast as they should is because they make thousands of different cards. You will need hundreds of different types to get a successful start. I can't imagine adding all of the covenant, humans, and flood will do that easily.

From the looks of it, it would follow the Pokemon TCG rules [?]

I mean, they appear to mimic them closely, so I'd assume that's what their function is.

Well, I have a few ideas:

Try making "hero" cards, like Sarge, Keyes, Cortana, etc.

Add Covenant. It cant be Halo without the Covies.

You could have characters, labeled as like Driver, Gunner, Sniper, Support, etc. and every character would have their own strentghs/weaknesses with each weapon, like a Sniper would do good with a pistol and rifle, but he loses "attack" when you equip him with weapons that a sniper wouldnt be good with(Shotgun, MA5B, PP)

Vehicles should be well balanced in order for it to be fun. Like:

Banshee: Loads of attack and speed(I forget the rules of Pokemon, but you would always change the system), but can easily be shot down by a Warthog turret, Shade, or tank.

Warthog: Can fit 3 people(cards). Has great speed, good attack, but average defense. It should be able to run people over, but risk being blown to bits with a rocket/nade.

Tank: Slow, but high attack and defense. Can blow just about any other vehicle into tiny bite size peices, but runs the risk of being sniped out, or blown up with a nade or rocket.

Ghost: Very fast, average attack, but low defense. The only advantages are that you can run people over and avoid rockets, and has a stun ability.

As you can see, there are many possibilities. Heck, I may start work on a strategy game-ish thing based off of Halo *walks off to room to bring forth minions of Hell, erm, to work on the game*

All right, I’m going to attempt to help you out on some cards and stuff, I’m going to waste my time… I mean… type a lot but please just read it. As a fan of TCG’s I think this might help. Played Yu-Gi-Oh like it was my life so hear me out. NOTE: This WILL NOT exactly copy the Xbox or computer game, because it needs to be fair.

Chapter 1 (lol): Character Cards.

Instead of just Red Sniper, why not just make a Master Chief, and possibly make like 3 or 4 different versions of him, but make them all different.
NOTE: Not every thing has to be real like, make some stuff up!!!
Taking from Pokémon, give the guys health or something like that. Possibly make a Cortana, Flood characters (for each different looking one), The Black Guy, I don’t know his name all ways called him the black guy, no I’m not racist. But don’t make health too high. Forget Cortana, she won’t do much anyway.

Spartan 117: 450 HP 200 Shield <------ MC's basic form, noting special.
Elite: 400 HP 350 Shield
Grunt: 200 HP 0 Shield
Jackal: 350 HP 0 Shield
Flood No Head: 700 HP 0 Shield
Flood Head: 650 HP 0 Shield
Flood Carrier: 500 HP 0 Shield
Black Guy: 375 HP 0 Shield
Captain Keyes: 375 HP 0 Shield
Marine: 350 HP 0 Shield
Hunter: 1000 HP 0 Shield
Little Flood Things: 10 HP 0 Shield <------ They come in Bunches
MC: Flood: 1050 HP 0Shield
MC: Marc 6: 700 HP 500Shield <------ H2 MC
Master Chief: 500 HP 250 Shield <------ The MC we know of from H1

A rough sketch of the people’s HP (Hit Points) and their Shield. The Little Flood Things have low HP but they can swarm, like make an x20 or something and like with a punch, 1 would die, and there are 19 left on the card. The basic Melee dmg is 15. So if you don’t have any wpns to equip then at least you can still beat the crap out of them.


Chapter 2: Equipment cards

Make all the weapons an equipment card. And all characters have like 25 dmg when no wpn is equipped, like punching them or something. Now I'm going to give you a chart of the weapons and the damage that they cause. (I’m like doing this for you, my god.)

M6D Pistol: 30 dmg
MA5B Assault Rifle: 40 dmg
M90 Shotgun: 60 dmg
S2 AM Sniper Rifle: 200 dmg
M19 SSM Rocket Launcher: 450 dmg
Plasma Rifle: 35 dmg
Plasma Pistol: 25 dmg
Needler: 20 dmg
Fuel Rod Gun: 350 dmg

And If a Covenant uses a Plasma gun or Needler, it gains 15 Str, same thing with Humans. With the Flood, they get a bonus for both but its only 10 not 15, and MC by himself gets an extra 5 so when he wields human wpns he gets a 20 bonus.


Chapter 3: Special Attributes

Without this people would cheat on the bonus STR stuff, so make the marines have a Human Symbol in a corner of the card. Same with the Covenant and the Flood.


Chapter 4: Items

Grenades are the main "sneak attack" way of Halo, more of a boom surprise type thing, but you cant live with them (Suicide) and can't live without them. So Grenade stats.

M9 HE-DP Grenade: Full Damage: 300 Half Damage: DUH
Plasma Grenade: Full Damage: 500 Half Damage: DUH
Needler Nade: Full Damage: 250 Half Damage: DUH

What we do is not to be cheap about grenades being so HOLY POOPSTAIN OWNAGE is the half damage. Toss a coin, is called right full damage received, if called wrong, what do you think, half damage. If it kills you in 1 hit, half damage or not, screw the coin toss, your dead anyway, live with the fact your 1337 grunt got owned. (I’m going to take up the entire character limit my god)


Chapter 5: Special Weapons

Special Weapons, like turrets and camo and over shield and camo.

Well, we have the Shade.

Shade (Stationary Gun) put a person in it, and it will automatically give them a 200 Shield and its damage will be maxed out at 40, next time you attack with it. Just make it lose 10 more attack each time.

Over Shield: To the person who equips this to a character, it gives that character a 400 Shield Bonus.

Active Camo: Can save a character about to die, and remove him from play for 3 turns. (End your turn, his turn back to you, that’s 1 turn)

Health Pack: When Used it recovers the character, up to HP on card, 300 HP.

Alright, now that we got the complicated stuff out of the way, time for the pat where we make up the game rules.



Game Rules:

Limited Cards: As we all know, if there was no card limit, people would just have all grenades in their deck and it would suck because you just wouldn’t win.

Every single card has a limit of 4 per deck, only 4 and that’s it.

A Deck has a 50 Card Minimum. Anything from 51 and up is acceptable.

The Object of the Game: The object of the game is to deplete your foe’s RPTS (Recruitment Points) Kind of corny but it’s the best I can think of, give me a break, I typed this in like 4 hrs. Anyway, you get 1000 RPTS and when a character dies it has a RPT Value somewhere on the card (spot undetermined) and that comes out of your RPTS. Once you reach 0 RPTS then you lose.

The game is turn based, you draw 5 cards when the match first starts, and roll a die, flip a coin etc. etc. to see who goes first. Whoever goes first draws one card from atop of his/her deck and begins the play from there.

Turn Order: When your turn first starts you draw a card. Then you can play up to 2 character cards on the field (a maximum of 8) and then your equipment phase starts, you can now put weapons on your character. NOTE: Only 2 weapons can be put onto a character, if you want a different wpn on your character, you must discard one card. Then your Offensive phase starts, where you can choose to attack your opponent (Only 1 attack per character.) your attack has to be targeted toward an opponent character, if they have one. NOTE: If you are the first to go, you may NOT attack your opponent, unless a card is played to specify. Also note that if you do not kill the character you attacked, that character returns fire upon you and if it kills you, your fault. Next comes your Items phase, where you can heal your characters or do whatever.

That’s all I have for now, but you get the picture, also may want to add a card about taking cards from your discard pile and re-shuffle them into your deck, and other cards that will affect the game play into your favor. These are just my ideas. Enjoy, and Thanks so much for reading all of this.


And you cant have vehicles, its just insane to mange that into a card, i mean i was having trouble trying to create the freakin shade. Hope this helps!!!

Well, I see you don't have a life either, since you had to waste 5 minutes of your life simply flaming another member instead of contributing something to the discussion.

Make the plasma pistol be able to take out all shields in one hit(even overshields), but it cant atack for 1 or 2 turns, dpending on how balanced it could be considered.

o yeah forgot about charged plasma, how bout we make it so it charges for 1 turn, then next turn you can shoot it, auto matically takes out all shields and does 100dmg is that character does not have a shield. And then you will have to wait 1 more turn before you can regain attacking privilages. O and Yes i do have a life, it just so happens that Thursday (yesterday) was extremely boring, seriously, i was bored to death. And thx for the back up DarkRyderOmega, at least some people still have enough sense to not flame my expertise in TGCs.

AHHHHHHH good point, thats an idea which i forgot, effects. and every character card should have some type of effect. That could be the Jackels. I'll start from the begining. At first i was thinking that the Jackel shield would so more use as an Item and equip it to the Jackel.

Jackel Shield
Equip this to a Jackel Only, and the Jackel card gets an instant 300 Shield. When this shield is taken out, after the 2nd turn of it being destroyed, the Jackel gets his 300 Shield back.

Or sumtin along that line.

No prob, L337Nub. I dont like people flaming me for various things, so, yea. Anyways, the equipment cards sound good. The recruitment points sound much like the way life works in M:TG. As for Cortana, she shouldn't like kill people, but provide bonuses and stuff for whoever has her out. Personally, I have experience in RTS and RPG games, like MechWarrior and D&D, but I've played my fair share of TCGs. Right now Im working on a Halo RTS board game thingy, which I should have the framework of the rules done by Monday.

Guys...no offence or attack but this is getting way to geeky and stuff.

Look at Pokemon...there are acionfigures,trading cards,a movie or 2 or whatever,a tvshow? probably some game...let`s not turn halo into pokemon pls...i mean there are halo actionfigures,a movie comin up and games...next someone will wear a spandex MC suit(rememberin the script delivery dweebs)
