Hello.

I'd like to ask the moderation team and the Halo 2 community whether it would be permissible for me to post a DVD called 'Halo 2 The Truth: Unlimited Collector's Edition'. The DVD was created by Christopher Nilsson and was produced as a straight to torrent/Internet production. I have tried to get into contact with Nilsson asking whether I can post his film online, however he seems to be non-existent on the Internet. The film is (C) Nilsson Productions however I thought that I could post it due to the fact that:

a) Nilsson Productions no longer exist.
b) There is no way to contact Nilsson.
c) The film is just under five years old.

I feel as though the film will be invaluable to the Halo 2 community as it is impossible to find on the Internet, and the torrent sites that do track it have no seeders, therefore there is no way to obtain this film outside of the people who already own it.

I'll be willing to bundle the cover picture and disc label if I find them on my computer, as they were supplied by Nilsson in the original download/torrent, I simply applied the cover to a green XBox style case I had purchased for the occasion.

If I do decide to upload the film, it will be available in approximately 24 200MB RAR archives, totalling 4.8GB, before compression.

Yeah, Hitboxing = fail. For example, a certan user from the maw who has never played Halo 2 Xbox online links to this halo 2 bash video (its much less exreme in acutial gameplay) which shows hitboxing, but it also exists in halo 3, which also has unbalanced weps and n00b armor (recon).

Don't take my word for it but if it was originally freely released I think it's completely okay to post it again. I could be entirely wrong, though.

I think the worst that a Ninja would do is delete your thread. They may never give permission, to cover their behinds, but that doesn't mean they don't want you to post it. I say go for it.

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Is this just strictly about the Campaign? This looks epic, go for it buddy.

It shouldn't have the Xbox logo if it is a DVD.

Ok, I'm starting the upload now. I'll create a new thread and reference it here when it's done. It's going to be in an ISO format.

Oh, and it's a Halo 2 trick/secrets/tips DVD that surfaced before Youtube was as popular as it is.

just make a torrent and post somewhere

If there is anywhere online, in stores, etc. that sells or charges to view this video you may NOT post it. It would violate the Render Unto Caesar part of the Bnet code of conduct, and would result in a permanent ban.

Thank you for replying.

Google turns up no hits (other than torrents), I've searched eBay, Amazon and Play with no hits. At most, the Prophet of Truth turns up as a hit on a few sites, whilst unrelated Halo products such as 'The Art of Halo' also turn up. I could post the original torrent page, but I think that would break the rules, but on the page the uploader is 'ANP', standing for "A Nilssen Production", which is plastered over the torrent description. This would support the suggestion that it's a straight to Internet/torrent film; all references to the film on search engines are from torrent tracker sites.

Naturally, if anybody finds that the DVD is being sold by a retailer, I'll remove all links to the files; I'm proceeding with the upload. I'm 99.9% confident that this DVD isn't being sold anywhere and was in fact never sold anywhere on release.
