R.I.P: Midship's floating Swingy Table.
You will be missed...
Let me first say that, despite what most of you will think, I am not an idiot, I am not easter-egg happy like the people who find weird faces in metal scratches on mirrored textures, and I know a little about how the engine works. And no, I don't have any pics or vids of it right now.
It is as follows: There is a small sector/district immediately southwest of the Rally Point area. This district, in which Buck starts his mission in, can be described as dark, debris-filled, and dangerous. Debris filled because there are crashed Oliphants/Elephants (I think; they might be in another district with a similar layout.) and a lot of tether debris. Dangerous because two Grunt packs and a Hunter pair spawn up near the Rally Point off-ramp. There's also glowy Covenant lamps up there that turn on when you get near them.
Near the building with all the stairs is a doorway recessed into the buildings that make up the wall of the 'map'. As you stand in front of that doorway, to your right, on the ground, is... a flowerpot. A planter. Although it seems innocuous, it looks odd and out of place to the trained eye. Not only have I not seen anything like it before in the city (This is on Mombasa Streets, btw.), but light falls on it strangely. The reason I bring up the light is because objects with special properties react slightly differently to light in the Halo engine. For example, in ODST you can tell from a distance if a door is going to be openable or not simply by looking at the light. The door behind the flowerpot/planter is not openable, but as I said, the light falls strangely on it.
Additionally, the flowers are like nothing I've seen in ODST, either.
I have no idea what it might mean, signify, or correlate to, but I know that it doesn't belong there.
I'll update as I get information and pics.
