here is all the truth that i know for halo 2.
first lets start off with the driveable vehicles:
snow/moonhog:this will probaly be available in the moon levels but iam not sure it is a snow/moonhog because it looks like it has the wheels of a tank also it doesn't have a turret/rocket launcher on its back, instead it has 4 extra seats.
tanks: are going to be back but i think they are smaller and faster
ATV:personally i think they look like one of the best vehicles ever, it is all terrain and you can shoot with one hand and drive with the other.
ghost:they have a booster and their turrets are weaker.
bashees:they have a booster
warthog:the new and imporveted warthog are better than the all one because they have rocket launchers on the back and they have a an emergency brake and the they have a horn to hank at others.
jungle warthog: it has camoflauge skin so you can't really see it in a forest or jungle, this one has a machine gun on the back.
troophog: the troop hog can hold up to 6 people
weapons:
smg
rocket launcher
sniper rifle
pistol[may be back but it will be toned down on the strength and the scope will be gone]
battle rifle
shotgun
plasma rifle
plasma pistol
needler
covenant cabarine
covenant plasma sword
enemies:
Brutes
Prophets
Elites[there will be different type of ranks]
Jackels
Grunts
Hunters[they migth be back and they might get stronger at there weak point]
Flood[will be back]
Multiplayer:
Lots! Xbox Live compatibility is the biggest change from the original game, although there will be many other alterations as well. There will be several new multiplayer game modes, one of which has been named "Assault". The purpose is to carry a bomb into the other team?s base to get a point. The other known new multiplayer mode is known as "Single Flag CTF", in which one team guards a flag for the entire game period, while another team must break in and steal the flag, bringing it back to their spawn point. This time around however, a player cannot drive a vehicle while holding the flag. Another multiplayer change is players having the chance to choose from four different teams, instead of just Red and Blue. Green and Gold are the two new team colors. On top of that, Covenant Elites will be playable in at least one multiplayer mode. In addition to teleports in Halo 2?s multiplayer, there will also be a new contraption, described as an "energy elevator". If the player steps into it, they will rise up as if in a strong air current. It will be used primarily as an alternative to a ladder, and best of all, the player can fire their weapon while in the current. One of the best new features of multiplayer is the ability to fully customize a player?s armor. Everything from hue color, to colored bands on the player?s arms and legs, and even logos on the player?s back and shoulders, can and will be done in Halo 2. Last but not least, there has been an update to system link games. 16 individual Xboxes can now be linked for a LAN game.
old meets new:
Bungie understands that many fans would like the classic multiplayer maps back for a second round, and it is being considered. However, the development team has not come to any conclusion to include old maps yet. As for new multiplayer maps, four have been confirmed at this time; Zanzibar, Waterworks, Burial Grounds, and Lockout. Zanzibar is a map that takes place on the east coast of Africa. One section of the map is a sunny beach, while the rest of the map is occupied by a decommissioned reactor station and several surrounding buildings. Waterworks is set in a giant cave, with its only light source being a huge hole in the cave?s ceiling. A giant alien structure is set in the middle of the map, which stretches from the bottom to the top of the cave. Burial Grounds is a map set in a desert climate, and contains the metal remains of ancient ships and structures. The last known map, Lockout, is a narrow concrete building that is built into the side of a rock outcropping. It contains several stories that are joined by ramps and bridges.
different places:
Yes, Earth will be in Halo 2. There will also be a moon level, not known if it?s Earth's or another planet's, complete with low gravity. The Covenant homeworld will also come into play. Bungie has said that Halo 2 will also take the player to new Halos, wreckage of previous Halos, gas giants, and even huge space stations. Some of the locations may change though, since it?s still early in the development process.
no demo:
Bungie has stated that there are no plans to release a playable demo in the near future, since they want the player to be more surprised of the new game play when they get the complete game, and a demo would eliminate that surprise. A demo will probably not be released until the complete game is already on store shelves. However, non-playable demo videos have been released at events like E3.
Bots:
We have not made a final decision regarding bots yet. The team has heard the cries of fans and we're exploring ways to make multiplayer games more enjoyable for gamers with only 2 controllers and no Live access.
