"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can't accept not trying." - M. Jordan

I am expecting some kind of major upgrade for xbox live if you have Halo 2. I am thinking totally new menus for entering games. One EB employee told me that the reason Halo 2 was delayed was for making it xbox live compatible. Its been two years now, and I think thats what is taking it so long. I think that the big suprise could be in the way you enter xbox live teams and tournaments.

I was thinking that something that never has been done with xbox live is organizing players through xbox live in tournaments for money. Can you imagine playing on a dedicated server over xbox live for $50,000. I think that even though Microsoft is making money of xbox live. They will have some way for people on xbox live to win money on skill. I wouldn't be suprised if major league gaming funded the tournaments.

Does anyone think that this is a possibility for what Bungie has in the works?

They never delayed it by the way. I don't think that may work possibly because of lag making it unfair but I don't know, it sounds cool.

Sigh...dedicated server. With that much money on the line, I don't think lag would even be an issue using xbox live.

Yeah, xbox live should be the only way. I hate how all these people with no lives (kind of ironic in a sence) get out to other parts of the country and win money. I mean, I think the best people will be online. I don't think anyone in a lan could do as good online.

The Master Chief emerged from his code. After seeing his dynamically lit realtime shadow, he went back for 9 more months of development.

Well actually they could get the entrance fees through your Live accoutn by charging it to your credit card. The fees could be lower (than LAN tournaments) since they will not need to rent space or TVs or anything.

Thats a good idea Hedwig, but I think for like annual tounaments they should just have a sponsor pay out the money. That idea would work, but people might get tierd of all these little charges added onto their subscription.

They might but people are currently paying $40 to play in LAN's. The fees might be MLG (major league gaming) if they decide to host tournaments over Live.

Though I do think you are right. I played in the first National Xbox Tournament sponsered by MS. It was free, I think MS may sponser another one with the lower rounds being over Live. Then the finals being held in Washington.
