Lately there has been alot of topics about Halo 3 in The Underground. My question is, are they allowed to be there? I realize The Underground's description says "Bungie General", but there are stickes that say its not a Halo forum.

So are Halo 3 topics allowed in The Underground or not? If they aren't, then why arent the mods doing anything about it. I may have just answered my own question but I'm not sure....But if Halo 3 topics are allowed, you mods out there might want to specify that in the stickie so there aren't anymore confusions.

That sticky is directing people who talk about Halo CE/PC/2 to their own forums, but because their is not Halo 3 forum then the subject falls into Bungie General, along with the Halo movie.

Well, I've seen threads about Halo 3 be told to go to the Underground.

Yeah. Pretty much, considering there isn't a forum specifically for speculation on future Bungie projects, The Underground is the place to discuss it.

Now, I fully understand how both Halo movie and Halo 3 topics technically fall under the classification of the Underground because they do not deal with a specific version of Halo. However, seeing as 5 of the 8 main forums are dedicated to various aspects of the Halo Universe, does it make a whole lot of sense to allow The Underground to be flooded with Halo topics?

Would it be possible to slightly modify one or more of the Halo forums in an attempt to keep the Underground from becoming another Halo forum and help prevent topics that belong in the Underground from being burried by Halo 3 and Halo movie topics?

Consider the Library as an example. Now that it is nearly four years after the release of Halo, all of the basic questions have been answered and activity in the Library has dropped off. Since xbox Halo specific questions are now few and far between, would it not be a good idea to change the Library so that it is a "General Halo Universe" forum, rather than just a forum for xbox Halo? This could inspire activity in the Library, help alleviate some of the problems with the Underground and eliminate all future questions of whether a Halo topic should be posted in one of the various specific forums or is general enough to belong in the Underground.

The Underground is for discussion of old-school games, general Bungieness and speculation on upcoming projects.

Ach! Was ist los?

And because of it, The Underground has become little more than a pit stop somewhere on the outskirts of Hell.

And I thought it couldn't get much worse than this a year ago. B-blam!-.

*EDIT*

Odd. There must be some offensive use of that word which I was not aware of.

Does anyone have a UK English dictionary I could borrow?

I realize that. However, I fail to see how anyone can say with a straight face that all the Halo 3 and Halo movie posts are good for the Underground.
