Are you saying that the fall of Rome happened within a year? Do you know which year? Because that's an awesome connection if true.

hmmmm mount vesuvius, the ashes from the explosion left their bodies preserved for over 2000 years....http://www.cotf.edu/ete/modules/volcanoes/vmtvesuvius.htm l
"Victims of Vesuvius were immortalized when their decomposed bodies left cavities in the hardened ash. The cavities were filled with plaster to recreate victims much as they looked at the time of their death." in the books master cheif always marked the "dead" spartans as M.I.A.(missing in action) because they wanted 2 give the impression that the spartans where indestructable and immortal......a weak connection but its there........

It was also the date Vesuvius erupted. They seem to like mythology, Bungie, so you might be onto something there.

yes... because the fall of rome and Vesuvius are most certainly myths...

Not Totaly Imposiable
For Ex. In halo 2 the we find out where the Covies homeworld is, we (the barbs) start to invade the Covie homeworld (rome) and after a long battle some one kills the main prophet (the roman Emporior)
In that way we have a better ending then us being the Romans

There were many reasons for the fall of the Roman Empire. Each one intertwined with the next. Many even blame the introduction of Christianity for the decline. Christianity made many Roman citizens into pacifists, making it more difficult to defend against the barbarian attackers. Also money used to build churches could have been used to maintain the empire. Although some argue that Christianity may have provided some morals and values for a declining civilization and therefore may have actually prolonged the imperial era.

this may or may not have to do with the topic but if so it maybe a conncetion to the covenant empire being destroyed if they are similar to the roman empire which they seem to be.At least thats what the books seem to point at.

Copy and paste this info, to create an index of information. If anything is found usless, delete it from the index.

- The conflict that caused the fall of the Roman empire started in 376. It ended with negotiations in 382. Thats a span of seven years.

- The battle of Adrianapole took place on August 9th 378. I suppose you could view it as the Germanic barbarians first day of occupation on the 10th of August?

- Rome's army comprised of seven large infantry units (legions and imperial auxiliaries) of 700 to 1000 men each. The cavalry was composed of shield-archers and Scholae of the imperial guard.

and after a long battle some one kills the main prophet (the roman Emporior) (who may be similar to ceasar if so this may be what happens to him if so his murders may be brutes or elites who knows)

Caesar was dead, at the hands of a band of senatorial conspirators led by Marcus Junius Brutus (Brute) (d 42 BC) and Gaius Cassius Longinus (d 42 BC), both former Pompeians who'd been pardoned by Caesar after the battle of Pharsalus.
He was, at the excuse of some of the conspirators, who claimed to want to present a petition to him, lured into one of the back room of Pompey's Theatre in Rome. (The rooms of the theatre were used for senatorial affairs, while the senate building was being restored.)
There the conspirators pounced and Caesar was stabbed 23 times (15 March 44 BC).

do you have any idea what a terrorist is, and when someone is a terrorist? you are not a terrorist if you do not obey the rules of the rich. like the Iraqi people, they desperately try to save their culture and beliefs, like the Humans desperately try to save their world, belief, culture and their lives, to the invading Covenants. think about that. who's the Covenant here on the planet...
