In AD 307, Constantine became emperor. He ruled from AD 307 to AD 337. Constantine was Rome's first Christian emperor and he is considered to have been a strong ruler.
He believed that Rome as a city was too far away from vital areas of the empire to be of value from a governmental level. Constantine, therefore, moved the capital of the empire to a new city – Constantinople. This was a new city that was built on the old city of Byzantium. Whatever the motives were, Constantine’s decision was a poor one. Constantinople was much further east than Rome and firmly in the eastern empire. This left the western empire very vulnerable – though the eastern empire was hardly free from attacks.

What if Earth did the same thing? Maybe we will be fighting on Earth 2 or the capital of the Humans is no Longer Earth? (Thought I might throw that in some one may find it usefull.)

and after a long battle some one kills the main prophet (the roman Emporior) (who may be similar to ceasar if so this may be what happens to him if so his murders may be brutes or elites who knows)

Caesar was dead, at the hands of a band of senatorial conspirators led by Marcus Junius Brutus (Brute) (d 42 BC) and Gaius Cassius Longinus (d 42 BC), both former Pompeians who'd been pardoned by Caesar after the battle of Pharsalus.
He was, at the excuse of some of the conspirators, who claimed to want to present a petition to him, lured into one of the back room of Pompey's Theatre in Rome. (The rooms of the theatre were used for senatorial affairs, while the senate building was being restored.)
There the conspirators pounced and Caesar was stabbed 23 times (15 March 44 BC).
In the book the flood it was said that there were many assassinations so they up the securtiy and the security is the brutes (Not that it was said they were Brutes but in other areas there must of been Brutes,) so what is a better assassin then some one on the inside. Also in rome at one point they had some thing like 5 emperores in one year from what is said in the book the flood that seems alot like Rome.

Cypriss, Constantine's decsion was a good one in fact, The Byzantine Empire survivied for another 1000 years, and Constantinople didn't fall till 1453 by the Turks. So, um yeah. Rome was basically doomed no matter what.

But New Constantinople fell, Admiral Whitcomb was at that battle.
Ok, what the hell am I talking about. Never mind.

the August 24 date is 77 days before November 9.....
1st Lt. Sorenson: Oh my God. If the decrypt is right-
Capt. Greene: I know.
1st Lt. Sorenson: We have to drop the mission. We have to bug out of here right now and get word back to HQ. An evac on this scale they need every second. Jesus. I was stationed on Troy.
Capt. Greene: I'm not... I'm not sure.
1st Lt. Sorenson: Ma'am?
Capt. Greene: There's a bigger picture, Rolf. Several.
1st Lt. Sorenson: The mission... This mission is more important than millions of lives? Oh my... god.
Capt. Greene: I'm just saying, the choice isn't as easy as you might think.
1st Lt. Sorenson: You know, I was so curious when you got your orders...
Capt. Greene: And then there's the strategic view.
1st Lt. Sorenson: For the first time, I'm not sure I want to know what's in them.
Capt. Greene: Even leaving aside our particular mission, there's the issue of letting them know we've broken their codes. If we bug out and scramble home to warn HQ about Troy, people like Standish will say we've already compromised a huge tactical advantage, and that mounting a big evac operation will completely give the game away.
1st Lt. Sorenson: Not even Standish would let them glass a planet if he knew it was coming. ... Oh my God.
Capt. Greene: I am not privy to strategic conversations at that level. But if we run home and present the decrypt, we put them in a tricky situation. If they act, they risk letting the enemy know we have a toehold in their C-and-C. If they decide that strategic advantage is too great to risk and don't act, then you know Section Zero will be all over them. Zero's wanted Standish forever.
1st Lt. Sorenson: I...I understand. It's so much easier for everyone if we don't tell them. But...wait a second. Don't you have family on Troy?
Capt. Greene: That can't be part of the equation, Rolf. You know that.
1st Lt. Sorenson: Jesus.
Capt. Greene: I think we have to report it. Our job is to gather intelligence: it's HQs job to decide what to do with it.
1st Lt. Sorenson: God, I'm glad it isn't me making that call.
Capt. Greene: Don't feel too sorry for them, Rolf. Even Admirals have to earn their pay.

Pandoras box = Jar (What ever)
In Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman on earth. Zeus ordered Hephaestus, the god of craftsmanship, to create her and he did, using water and earth. The gods endowed her with many talents; Aphrodite gave her beauty, Apollo music, Hermes persuasion, and so forth. Hence her name: Pandora, "all-gifted".

When Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus took vengeance by presenting Pandora to Epimetheus, Prometheus' brother. With her, Pandora had a jar which she was not to open under any circumstance. Impelled by her natural curiosity, Pandora opened the jar, and all evil contained escaped and spread over the earth. She hastened to close the lid, but the whole contents of the jar had escaped, except for one thing which lay at the bottom, and that was Hope.

You can find the text "Arachne hung herself, you know. Take a hint already. God my head hurts." on I love bees.

I looked up Arachne.

Arachne, or Arakhne was a woman from Greek mythology. She was a fine weaver who began claiming that her skill was greater than Athena's, the goddess of weaving (among other responsibilities).

Athena was angered, but gave Arachne a chance to redeem herself. Assuming the form of an old woman, she warned Arachne not to offend the gods. Arachne scoffed and wished for a weaving contest, so she could prove her skill. Athena dropped her disguise and the contest began.

Athena wove the scene of her victory over Poseidon that inspired the people of Athens to name their city for her. Arachne's tapestry featured Zeus: Zeus being unfaithful with Leda, Zeus being unfaithful with Europa, Zeus being unfaithful with Danae.

Even Athena admitted that Arachne's work was flawless, but was outraged at Arachne's disrespectful choice of subjects. Finally losing her temper, Athena destroyed her tapestry and loom, and struck Arachne on the head. Arachne realized her folly and was crushed with shame. She ran off and hanged herself.

Athena took pity on Arachne. Sprinkling her with the juices of aconite, Athena resurrected her as a spider.

I hope this helps.

About your terrorist message, Pelican Echo, it's kind of hard to understand parts of your grammatically incorrect rant, but I think I've found that you are equating Americans to the Covenant, and the Iraqis to the Humans in Halo. Well, I must show you one big difference. The Covenant in Halo 2 are killing innocent civilians, for no apparent reason. In the real world, Americans aren't killing innocent Iraqi civilians, we're killing insurgents, suicide bombers, et cetera. Also, the humans in Halo 2 posed no threat to the Covenant. We wouldn't have done anything to them. In the real world, Saddam Hussein was a threat to America and his own people. And here you are equating America with terrorists and Covenant? Talk about unpatriotic.

well the jar of evil could represent the covenant and hope could stand for the master cheif.or the covenant could represent pandora and halo could represent the jar and the flood could represent evil and the master cheif could represent hope either way.

The only thing is, there haven't been any references to the story of Pandora's Box. I'm sure we could find ways to apply any story of Greek Mythology to a possible scenario of Halo 2.

I was looking at Halo as the jar but not MC as hope, Maybe Halo had a flood antidote? It would be destroyed now and that would of been the only hope left in the jar.

I think that the Humans invade the Covenant homeworld just like the Greeks invaded Troy. MC could capture a Covenant warship, and then he could sneak past covie defenses and onto the homeworld, where he would capture a Prophet. Then he could use the Prophet as leverage against the Covenant! There! I've got it!
