Hello,

Somewhat of a n00b here but I have a couple of questions, regarding Halo 2 of course. Maybe they can be answered, maybe not, but I thought I'd give it a try anway, enough of the yip-yap, here are my questions:

1: Is the U.K. version of the game, in any way, censored?

2: I believe many of you have seen the latest Halo 2 print ad*, if so, why does the poster contain certain environments/buildings from Hong Kong?** Is it some sort of placeholder, so they wouldn't have to show any major Earth City locales, or some sort of carbon copy or does Master Chief himself travel to Hong Kong in the game? Bear in mind that the buildings, look almost identical, and that the game is set in the future, while these buildings are way back in 2004. Can anyone clarify this or do you have any opinions on it?

*Exhibit A: The latest (German) Halo 2 print ad: http://www.halouniverse.de/assets/files/halo2poster.jpg.

**Exhibit B: Pictures of Hong Kong, if you look carefully between these and the posters and you'll see they are identical in many ways,

Sorry if I've missed out or something, and I'm really curious myself, if it's old then please lock.

Thanks for your time.

1) it will be the exact same
2) i doubt those buildings even exist in the time frame that is in the game. it would be a marvel of technology if they could last that long

1) You mean like bleeping out the "bad" words. I don't see why they would
2) Didn't even notice anything really in the print ad. Some dots that kinda look like lights, but not really.

Thanks for your reply.

The server that site runs on is a bit fragile it seems so, I'll try to get a mirror for it if it's absolutely nessecary.

Edit: Oh wow, sorry didn't notice they'd posted, I'm honestly glad to hear that there won't be any censoring.

As for the buildings, I'm not really sure why they are there, I can only see it as a placeholder to make it look cool, maybe a staffer could comment on this?

they rated it a 16 and up game for the UK the way it was so it most likely won't be censored

Well, the Covenant are attacking all of Earth therefore a mission could easily take place in Hong Kong somewhere. Probably they just found a futuristic looking building (Asia usually contains a lot of them) and decided to put it in the print art, but you never know...

No bumping. Read the rules in the sticky thread titled "Welcome to New Mombasa!" before posting again.

Thread locked, and it wasn't a half bad thread, either.
