"The Important Thing Is To Never Stop Questioning,"
Well, you asked for it, so here is my story:
The first Bungie game I ever played was Myth, back before Halo came out. Now I never knew anything about the site, or payed enough attention, at the time, to know who the hell made the game. I just played it at my friend’s house. Not to long later Halo started to be talked about, and my friend introduced me to Bungie. He was like: These are the guys who made Myth, now they are going to make a cool FPS on Mac. At the time, I still didn’t care all too much, though my friend kept pushing it on me. The Halo was released, on Xbox, and I fell in love. I and my friends got together every weekend, sometimes twice a weekend to have LAN Parties. Some as big as 20+ at a time. Ah those were the times. Then talk of Halo 2 started to come in. I finally then got the sense to go to Bungie.net. I just cruised the site and News mainly. I never joined, and can’t remember why, for the life of me. This is about the time that I discovered Marathon. Well, my friend, another one, happened to have an old Mac that would play it, so we got into Playing Marathon also, along with Halo. Well, to say the least at this time we were Bungie freaks, we were in love. Though for some god awful reason I never joined. The night Halo was released I stood as #31 in a 200+ person line. We had a party in the parking lot, a guy even barbequed. I stood in line from 8:00 till Midnight to get the game. After I got the game I stuck around for the One on One Multiplayer matches happening. The, when I finally went home, I stuck the game in and didn’t stop playing till I had beaten it. I day or two later I read the booklets included in my Limited edition halo 2 and found out about XBL clans for Halo 2. I think this is what made me join Bungie.net. In the beginning I was a total noob, and knew nothing at all. Since then I have come far, and try to tech others what I have learned. As for my goals, well I think I may have reached them already. My goal was to become a Helpful and respected member of the Bungie.net community, help the 7th Column grow, and to form my own web community based around Bungie. (Yes after falling in love with Bungie.net and its forums I did want to see the 7th Column go far) Though I am probably not all that respected or known, I am enough to get a little respect from the Moderators, so that works for me. I help every chance I get to see this community grow, whatever I can do. And, now with the formation of BFO (www.bungiefansonline.com) I have reached my final goal. But, even though I may have reached all of my goals, my time here on B.net is not at an end. News goals will be set, and conquered. Though I have no desire at all to become a Moderator I do wish to see the 7th Column grow into even more greatness, and its members mature. My new goals will be based around this ad furthering the BFO community. So, don’t think you have seen the last of me anytime soon. Plan on seeing me for a long time coming. The day I leave B.net is the day I leave a part of my life behind. I am a gamer, through and through, and Bungie is part of my life. Period.
